Karnataka Government And NuernbergMesse India Join Hands To Co-Locate Embedded World India With Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026

Highlights:

Strengthening India’s role in the global embedded systems and semiconductor ecosystem

Bringing together global hardware innovators and India’s rapidly expanding digital technology ecosystem

Creating a unified platform for embedded technologies, semiconductors, AI devices and IoT innovation

The 29th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit has further strengthened its position as one of Asia’s most influential technology platforms with the announcement of a major new collaboration. The Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka, and NuernbergMesse India today announced that embedded world India will be co-located with Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026, to be held from 17–19 November 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

India’s embedded systems market is growing rapidly, driven by demand across smart manufacturing, electric mobility, telecommunications, healthcare and connected devices. Government initiatives such as the India Semiconductor Mission and production-linked incentives have attracted over USD 21 billion in semiconductor investments, strengthening India’s role in global supply chains. The market is projected to grow from USD 34.3 billion in 2023 to over USD 100 billion by 2032, with India contributing nearly 20% of the global semiconductor design workforce.

Karnataka contributes around 10% of India’s electronics output and is the country’s largest semiconductor design hub. The State is home to over 100 fabless chip design firms, generating nearly 40% of India’s electronic design output and hosting about half of the nation’s electronic product companies.

Against this backdrop, the co-location of embedded world India with BTS in Bengaluru will create a dynamic marketplace where embedded hardware, advanced system design, AI-powered devices and IoT technologies converge to drive new collaborations and innovations.

Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Bt and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka, said, “Karnataka has long been at the forefront of India’s technology revolution and today plays a critical role in the global semiconductor design ecosystem. Bengaluru hosts some of the world’s largest semiconductor design centres and a thriving deep-tech innovation community. Being India’s No.1 ESDM hub and home to 50% of the country’s electronic product companies, the state offers a strong foundation for this initiative. Bengaluru Tech Summit, as a leading global technology platform, is a natural partner, enabling deeper global partnerships and strengthening Karnataka’s position as a global centre for embedded systems and semiconductors."

“Karnataka is already the leader in India’s semiconductor and ESDM ecosystem,” said Dr. N. Manjula, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and Science & Technology, “By hosting embedded world India alongside the Bengaluru Tech Summit, we are creating opportunities for our startups, MSMEs and research institutions to directly engage with global technology leaders. It also reflects our commitment to strengthening the entire semiconductor and ESDM value chain, from design and embedded systems to advanced electronics manufacturing.

The MoU for this collaboration was signed by Shri Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur, IAS, Managing Director, Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and Director, Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, Government of Karnataka, and Sonia Prashar, Managing Director, NuernbergMesse India.

Highlighting Bengaluru's unmatched credentials, Sonia Prashar said, “Bengaluru has long been recognized as the Silicon Valley of India, with a strong concentration of semiconductor design centres, electronics manufacturers and technology innovators. Co-locating embedded world India with the Bengaluru Tech Summit will create a powerful platform for the embedded systems community, enabling global companies and Indian innovators to collaborate, exchange knowledge and explore new market opportunities. This partnership will act as a powerful industrial bridge, further strengthening more than two decades old relationship between Karnataka and Bavaria.”

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 is expected to bring together 1,800+ exhibitors, 25,000+ delegates, 1,000+ startups and over 60,000 business visitors from more than 75 countries. Participation will span key sectors including deep tech, frontier technologies, electro-semiconductors, electric mobility, health and biotechnology, digital infrastructure and data centres, making it one of Asia’s most influential platforms for technology innovation and collaboration.

The co-location of embedded world Exhibition India with the 29th Bengaluru Tech Summit marks an important step in strengthening collaboration between global hardware innovation and India’s fast-growing digital technology ecosystem. The collaboration also reinforces the strong and growing technology relationship between Karnataka and global innovation hubs, further positioning Bengaluru as a leading centre for embedded systems, semiconductor design and next-generation electronics innovation.
