Over 1,700 Cyclists Come Together At Embassy Manyata For 11th Edition Of Embassy Pedal For Rhe Planet

The event saw over 1,700 cyclists from Bengaluru and beyond come together for one of the city’s largest cycling events. Professional riders, amateur cycling enthusiasts, families and children took part in a morning that celebrated cycling, fitness, sustainable mobility and community.

Now in its 11th edition, Pedal for the Planet has grown into a signature Embassy initiative and a city-wide platform that encourages people to embrace cycling, active lifestyles and more sustainable ways of moving around the city.

The 2026 edition featured four ride categories for cyclists across age groups and experience levels - the 40 km Pro-Elite Ride, 25 km Amateur Ride, 15 km Fun Ride – Open and 2 km Fun Ride – Kids. The Pro-Elite and Amateur categories included separate races for men and women, while the Fun Rides offered a more relaxed cycling experience. Beyond the rides, the morning brought together wellness activities, entertainment, community experiences and awards, creating a lively celebration for participants and their families.

Sustainability remained at the heart of Pedal for the Planet 2026. One tree was pledged for every registration, alongside a no single-use plastic policy, responsible waste management practices and an electric scooter leading the races. Extending the impact beyond the event itself, all proceeds supported non-profit initiatives focused on the education of underprivileged children and the improvement of local schools.

DHASH Bengaluru Half Marathon Returns For Its Second Edition On December 6, At Kanteerava Stadium

* Bringing a Premium Runner Experience to the Heart of Bengaluru

The DHASH Bengaluru Half Marathon (DBHM) is returning for its second edition, bringing Bengaluru’s running community together for a race experience built around performance, accessibility, community and purpose.

This year, the marathon moves to the iconic Kanteerava Stadium, with runners taking on a route through Bengaluru’s Central Business District (CBD), bringing the race into the heart of the city.

Powered by the Bengaluru Runners Association, the second edition builds on the inaugural event’s philosophy of “For the Runners, By the Runners”, with a stronger focus on creating a professionally managed and memorable experience for runners of all levels.

The marathon is driven by the vision of Manjunath N Reddy, Founder & Chairman, DHASH Group, who sees sport as a platform to promote healthier lifestyles, bring communities together and create meaningful social impact.

AUMOVIO India Strengthens Water Security Through Dhunturu Lake Restoration

*AUMOVIO India undertakes the restoration of Dhunturu Lake to rejuvenate the freshwater ecosystem

*Community development initiative to benefit 1,700 people in 8 villages

AUMOVIO India, the Indian unit of the German technology and electronics company AUMOVIO, has announced the restoration of Dhunturu Lake in Kanakapura taluk, Ramanagara district. The initiative is part of the company’s continued focus on community development, environmental stewardship, and long-term sustainability.

The Dhunturu Lake restoration project is designed to rejuvenate a vital freshwater ecosystem by improving the lake’s water-holding capacity, supporting biodiversity restoration, and encouraging community participation in the conservation of shared natural resources. The project is expected to contribute to improving water security, ecological balance, and long-term environmental resilience in the Kanakapura region.

This initiative builds on AUMOVIO India’s experience in implementing similar lake restoration projects, like the successful restoration of Hullahalli Lake. At Hullahalli, the project enhanced water-holding capacity, supported the revival of local biodiversity, restored the lake’s natural area, and strengthened community participation and ownership of the lake’s conservation.

Located in Dhunturu village, the lake spans 10 acres and 27 gunthas and serves as an important natural resource for the surrounding communities. Through the restoration work, AUMOVIO India aims to strengthen the lake ecosystem, improve its capacity to retain water, and support the revival of local flora and fauna. Improved groundwater recharge is also expected to support farmers in the region by enhancing irrigation potential and reducing dependence on unpredictable rainfall patterns.

The initiative will benefit the people of Kadahalli Gram Panchayat, which comprises 8 villages with a total population of 7,000 individuals and 1,700 households, as per the 2011 Census. In addition to environmental restoration, the project will help create awareness among local communities, youth, and students on water conservation, ecosystem sustainability, and the responsible management of natural resources.
