Samsung SmartThings Becomes The Industry’s First To Support Matter Cameras

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that its smart home platform, SmartThings, now supports Matter 1.5—the global smart home standard—making it the first in the industry to support Matter-compatible cameras.

Starting later this month, Samsung will roll out SmartThings updates to expand its existing list of Matter devices, including lights, door locks, switches, and various sensors, by adding cameras. With this update, SmartThings will become the smart home platform with the broadest support for Matter devices.

Enhanced Security and Safety with Matter 1.5 Camera Support

Matter 1.5, announced by the Connectivity Standard Alliance (CSA) in November, adds camera support as well as enhanced features for closure operations, including blinds, awnings, and garage doors—along with improved energy management.

The industry is particularly focused on the inclusion of a camera standard, as cameras are an essential part of any smart home ecosystem. Matter 1.5 supports a wide range of camera use cases including indoor and outdoor security cameras, video doorbells, and more. It also includes features such as live video streaming, two-way communication, motion detection, event history, and pan-tilt-zoom controls.

Expanded User Choice and Enhanced Developer Convenience

With SmartThings supporting the standard, camera manufacturers can now launch Matter-based cameras that seamlessly integrate with SmartThings without the need to customize separate API (Application Programming Interface).

Samsung has collaborated with leading global IoT device makers, including Aqara, Eve, and Ulticam, to develop Matter cameras, and these products are expected to roll out starting in March 2026.

SmartThings has already partnered with Aqara, Arlo, Hue, Ring, and others to provide a wide array of smart home camera experiences across various protocols and connection methods. With this update, users will have even more options, as Matter cameras can now be integrated easily into the SmartThings ecosystem.

Looking outwards, students explore language, data, urban systems, ecology, health, technology, and community narratives to imagine empathetic, efficient, and sustainable futures for us. Each project invites us to ask questions, notice hidden stories, challenge ideas, and dream boldly.

Seamless and secure EV payments for customers nationwide

Airtel Payments Bank in partnership with NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited has enabled EV Wallet Recharges via the Bharat Connect (BBPS) platform on Airtel Thanks app.

Until now, electric vehicle owners were required to use the wallets that are provided by individual Charging Point Operators (CPOs) for charging payments. With the EV Recharge category, Airtel Payments Bank enables customers to top up their EV wallets directly through the Airtel Thanks App, making the process seamless, instant, and interoperable.

Customers simply need to log in to the app, select “Recharge EV” under Pay Bills, enter their registered mobile number and recharge amount, confirm and pay securely via Bharat Connect enabled apps, and have the recharge reflected instantly in their wallet. The facility is available for all Airtel Thank app users, ensuring convenience, security, and immediate access to funds for EV charging.

SAP Labs India today announced the opening of a new sports and recreation facility at the SAP Labs India Innovation Park in Bengaluru. The facility was inaugurated by former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad and Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director, SAP Labs India.

Spanning a net built-up area of 2,189 square meters (approximately 23,563 square feet), the new sports block strengthens SAP’s continued focus on building healthier, more active, and more connected workplaces. Designed as a multi-zone environment, the facility offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities catering to diverse fitness levels and interests.

The indoor complex includes two dedicated badminton courts and a multipurpose court that supports both badminton and pickleball. It also features a squash court, a golf simulator, and indoor games such as table tennis, foosball, chess, and billiards. Meta AI Now Available In Telugu And Kannada On Ray-Ban Meta Glasses


Meta is starting to roll out Telugu and Kannada language support on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley HSTN AI glasses, expanding access to Meta AI across India. With this update, users can now interact with Meta AI completely hands-free in two additional regional languages, making AI glasses more natural and intuitive for millions across the country. This addition builds on existing support for English and the recently launched Hindi experience, further strengthening Meta AI’s multilingual availability in India.

Users can now select Telugu or Kannada as their preferred language in the Meta AI app by going to Device Settings > Meta AI > Language and Voice. Once enabled, Meta AI can respond in the selected language and help users ask questions, get information, take photos and videos, answer calls and messages, and control music and media through simple voice commands.

This update follows the recent launch of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and the launch of Oakley HSTN AI glasses in India, giving users more choice across both lifestyle and performance categories. Vedanta Sesa Goa IOK Commits To Success Of SSLC Students In Siddapura


Empowering students with skills required to ace their examinations, Vedanta Sesa Goa – Iron Ore Karnataka (IOK) has launched the ‘Master Class to Achieve 100%’, at Shri. Nuthan High School, Siddapura. The initiative, under Sesa Goa’s Project ‘Vriddhi’ would empower 180+ students from four schools – Shri. Anjaneya Swamy High School, Kadleguddu, Shri. Anjaneya Swamy High School, Manangi, Dr. B R Ambedkar High School & Shri. Nuthan High School, Siddapura, through ‘Special Classes’ conducted on all weekends starting on 13th December 2025, for two months.

As part of the initiative Vedanta IOK is providing support through accomplished teachers who will be augmenting the preparations of the SSLC students through special classes.Students will also be mentored to overcome gaps in writing technique, time management, and tips on addressing questions as per board pattern. The event witnessed the presence of Raghavendra G., Chairman, Sri. Nuthan Education & Rural Development Society, along with Keerthi Kumar SB - Head Master, Manangi HS, Dr. Mahesh, Principal, Shri.
