Coffee Stakeholders Unite For 5th World Coffee Conference & Expo 2023 In Bengaluru


* Bengaluru, India hosts the 5th World Coffee Conference (WCC) for the first time in Asia between September 25-28, 2023, at Bangalore Palace. 

* Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India along with other dignitaries inaugurated the 4-day long event. 

* The first-ever four-day coffee event in Asia, 5th World Coffee Conference is spanned across 30,000 sqm with participation from 80 countries, including 2,400+ Delegates, 128 Speakers, 208 Exhibitors, and over 10,000 visitors.

The 5th World Coffee Conference (WCC) 2023, organized by the International Coffee Organization (ICO) in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India; Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India; Government of Karnataka, and the Coffee Industry, is taking place from September 25th to 28th, 2023, at the iconic Bangalore Palace in Bengaluru. The event was inaugurated today by Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in the presence of esteemed dignitaries such as Shri Joe Kuli, Hon’ble Minister for Coffee from Papua New Guinea; Shri Massimiliano Fabian, Chair of the International Coffee Council; Shri Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & Managing Director, Nestle India Ltd.; Shri Sunil D’Souza, CEO & MD, Tata Consumer Products; Shri Challa Srishant, Managing Director, CCL Products (India) Ltd.; Shri Shiva Krishnamurthy, Vice President, South Asia Food & Beverage, Hindustan Unilever Limited; Shri N. Mr. Rohan Bopanna, India’s No.1 Doubles Tennis Player & Arjuna Awardee who is the Brand Ambassador of WCC 2023 shared his comments via a recorded message as he is representing India at the ongoing Asian Games. 

The day concluded with insightful keynote sessions on Global Coffee Perspectives and Future Prospects by Dr.  Vanusia Nogueira, Executive Director, ICO; Principles of Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture by Prof. Gunter Pauli, Economist, Blue Economy and Coffee Market Future Trends by Mr. Matthew Barry, Insight Manager- Food & Beverage, Euromonitor International.
