Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Limited Files IPO Papers with SEBI

Bangalore based Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Limited, one of India's leading casual dining restaurant chains according to the Technopak Report., filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator SEBI seeking permission for its Initial Public Offering (IPO). 

The IPO comprises of a fresh issue of up to Rs. 2,000 million and Offer for sale of up to 6,179,000 equity shares comprising an Offer of Sale of up to 109,800 equity shares by Aajv Investment Trust, up to 4,729,200 equity shares by Tamara Private Limited, up to 400,000 equity shares by Azhar Dhanani, up to 270,000 equity shares by Kayum Dhanani, up to 270,000 equity shares by Sanya Dhanani and up to 400,000 equity shares by Sadiya Dhanani, 

The offer includes a reservation of up to 150,000 equity shares, for subscription by eligible employees

The equity shares will have a face value of Rs 5 and the price band will be decided in consultation with the Book Running Lead Managers (BRLMs).
  
The Net Proceeds from the Issue will be utilized towards  (i) setting-up of new Barbeque Nation restaurants in India; (ii) Repayment or prepayment of loans of the  Company and Subsidiaries; (iii) General corporate purposes

IIFL Holdings Limited, Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, Jefferies India Private Limited and SBI Capital Markets Limited are the book running lead managers to the issue and Link Intime India Private Limited is the Registrar.

Barbeque Nation Hospitality Limited: Barbeque Nation Hospitality Limited (BNHL) owns and operates Barbeque Nation Restaurants, one of India's leading casual dining restaurant chains according to the Technopak Report. The first Barbeque Nation Restaurant was launched in 2005 by Sayaji Hotels, one of the company’s promoters. Five Barbeque Nation Restaurants owned by Sayaji Hotels were transferred to BNHL in 2012. The company has steadily grown its owned and operated Barbeque Nation Restaurant network from a single restaurant in Fiscal 2007 to 81 Barbeque Nation Restaurants in 42 cities in India (including one currently under renovation) and one restaurant in Dubai as of June 30, 2017. In addition, as of June 30, 2017, it had granted the franchise rights of one Barbeque Nation Restaurant.

The Karnataka Chapter of National Real Estate Development Council “NAREDCO Karnataka” is all head up for NAREDCO 14th National Convention to be held in New Delhi on August 28 & 29, 2017. The 2 days convention will represent Karnataka Realty Sector; and will help take the provincial real estate sector on the national Diaspora. Advantage Healthcare India 2017 Global Summit on Medical Value Travel to Begin in Bengaluru on Oct 12

Advantage Healthcare India 2017, the third international summit on medical value travel (medical tourism) jointly organized by FICCI, Dept. of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, and Service Export Promotion Council (SEPC), will be held at Bengaluru from October 12-14, 2017.

The launch of the mega event was officially announced by Nirmala Sitharaman,  Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, in the presence of Rita Teaotia, Secretary, Sudhanshu Pandey, Joint Secretary, and  Anup Wadhawan, Additional Secretary with Dept. of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry;  A Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI;  Naresh Trehan, President, SEPC, and other dignitaries.

Advantage Healthcare India 2017 is meant to promote India as a premier global healthcare destination and enable streamlined healthcare services exports. The medical value travel (MVT) industry has emerged as one of the fastest growing segments of Indian tourism industry. According to a FICCI-IMS report, more than 500,000 foreign patients seek treatment in India each year, making it a key medical tourism destination in Asia. However, coordinated efforts are required by key stakeholders to turn India into “The Provider to the World” and accelerate MVT growth from the existing 15% to 25%. The Indian medical tourism industry gets maximum patients for heart surgery, knee transplant, cosmetic surgery and dental care, as the cost of treatment here is considered the lowest in Asia, much lower than Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Advantage Healthcare India 2017, spread across three days, will have more than 40 speakers, 600 hosted buyers and over 5,000 business visitors. The exhibition will host more than 160 exhibitors to showcase medical services and expertise. Thousands of reverse buyer-seller meetings will offer opportunities for tie-ups with Indian hospitals and healthcare centers for medical tourism.

A Roundtable Session with Health Ministers from select countries will be organized to discuss issues encompassing medical value travel and formulate the way forward. Toyota’s Skill Excellence Program Recognized Under “Manufacturing Skill Transfer Promotion Program”

Toyota Technical Training institute today celebrated a decade of Toyota’s excellence in imparting world class skill training to the young talents of Karnataka from underprivileged background. Established by Toyota Kirloskar Motor in 2007 within the premises of Toyota’s manufacturing plant at Bidadi (near Bangalore), the institute confers certificate to   deserving students every year. Students are exposed to global training curriculum to generate skilled talent for the rapidly growing auto industry.

The convocation certificates to the 8th batch of graduates were handed over by the Chief Guest Jamshyd N. Godrej - Chairman of the Board of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited in the presence of Akito Tachibana, Managing Director - Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director - Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Yoshihiro Horinouchi, Deputy Managing Director - Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Sailesh Shetty, Vice President – Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Kan Asaine, Senior Vice President – Toyota Kirloskar Motor, V Wiseline Sigamani, Principal, Toyota Technical Training Institute, the faculty members and families of the graduating students. In line with the company’s commitment towards the Government of India’s Skill India initiative, Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) is a dedicated 3-year program that focuses on the holistic development of Knowledge, Skill and Body & ATTITUDE. With a structure that ensures the highest standard of education, the curriculum offers complete learning experience, along with basic subjects, recreational activities and comprehensive training on Automobile Assembly, Automobile Paint, Automobile Weld and Mechatronics (a combination of mechanical and industrial electronics). This method has been introduced and adopted in many leading manufacturing companies in Japan and highlighted as basic manufacturing technology as a key for low cost automation. Since establishment, the institute has trained 443 students who have been inducted at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, other Toyota Group companies & Supplier Partners. The students of TTTI can appear for NAC (National Apprentice Certificate) & ASDC (Automotive Skill Development Council) exams which enables them to secure Government recognized certificate/s enhancing their prospects further.

On Toyota’s relentless efforts to enhance a person’s employability in the automobile industry,  accentuating one of its founding principles – Human Development, the Toyota’s institute – TTTI was selected for “Manufacturing Skill Transfer Promotion Program’’ by the Government of Japan through Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) certification in 2017. During the convocation ceremony, Mr. Kenko Sone, Minster (Economic & Development), Embassy of Japan, handed over the JIM certification to the Managing Director, Mr. Akito Tachibana of Toyota Kirloskar Motor. Announced after the talks between Honourable Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Honorable Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, this skill-partnership under the signed Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) provides an opportunity to facilitate the human resource  skill development in the manufacturing sector in India, which is expected to grow further more in the middle and long – term, through collaboration between the public and private sectors of both the countries in order to contribute to “Make in India” and “Skill India.”

Under India’s developing market scenario, with the launches of latest technologies by various auto manufacturers, there is a significant need for highly skilled service personnel. The students are exposed to Toyota Way of Manufacturing ‘Monozukuri’ and familiarized with the global concepts of ‘Lean Manufacturing’, Kaizen, Genchi Genbutsu. Training at TTTI is not restricted to classrooms and workshops alone. TTTI exclusively emphasizes on over all development of the trainees as per industry requirements & towards “Perfecting people” making them multi skilled & enthusiastic to the nation’s growth prospects. The TTTI degree holders will be accredited with certification by the Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing from next year (2018).

The TTTI batch of 2011 secured 4th position in World Skill Competition 2015 held at Sao Paulo, Brazil & won “Medallion of Excellence”. The students from the TTTI batch of 2013 who secured the first position in the World Skill Contest (at the National level) under the categories - Prototype Modelling & Mechatronics, will be representing India in The World Skill Contest which will be held in Abu Dhabi during October this year.
