JioHotstar Introduces ‘Shop The Look’, A Seamless Product Experience Linking Content To Commerce

* The in-stream commerce feature is live with NEWME as the first commerce partner for the latest season of MTV Splitsvilla

Imagine watching a show on your mobile phone and wanting to own a look that catches your eye on screen. JioHotstar brings that moment to life with Shop the Look, a first-of-its-kind contextual commerce experience available exclusively on mobile, designed to integrate discovery and purchase seamlessly into the viewing journey, allowing audiences to explore and shop what inspires them in real time - without disrupting playback or leaving the app. This marks a significant step in the evolution of streaming from attentive viewing to intent-led interaction.

Built as a native product capability within the JioHotstar platform, Shop the Look has gone live with NEWME as its first commerce partner, debuting with the latest season of MTV Splitsvilla, which premiered on January 9th. As episodes stream, looks featured on-screen surface contextually within a dedicated shopping layer, enabling viewers to browse curated or similar styles and complete purchases instantly. The entire flow – from discovery to payment and address confirmation – is completed within the JioHotstar ecosystem, ensuring a smooth, uninterrupted viewing experience.

While fashion is the first category to go live, Shop the Look has been engineered as a scalable, modular product, built to support additional adjacencies such as beauty, accessories, food and grocery, allowing JioHotstar to evolve this capability across diverse content environments as audience behaviour and use cases expand. By embedding commerce directly into premium content, the platform ensures that shopping remains intuitive and optional, activated only when viewers choose to engage, preserving the integrity of storytelling while enabling real-time interaction.

Commenting on the launch, Bharath Ram, Chief Product Officer - JioStar said, “Shop the Look is a product innovation built around one clear principle: the viewing experience should always come first. Our teams focused on designing a system that feels effortless for viewers – where discovery, decision-making, and checkout happen naturally within the flow of content. While fashion is the starting point, the product has been architected to scale across categories, formats, and future use cases. This is a foundational step in how we imagine the possibilities of streaming, not just as a place to watch, but as a platform that responds intelligently to audience intent.”

Speaking about the feature, Sumit Jasoria, Co-founder & CEO, NEWME, said, “Shop the Look represents a meaningful shift in how content and commerce come together. What stands out is how seamlessly JioHotstar’s and NEWME’s product teams have embedded commerce into the viewing journey—meeting audiences at the exact moment inspiration strikes, without disrupting the experience. By removing friction through intelligent, in-stream discovery and native checkout, the platform turns relevance and timing into real outcomes. We are excited to be the first brand to partner with JioHotstar on a thoughtfully built, scalable feature that opens up powerful new ways to engage with our audience.”

For brands, Shop the Look introduces a new way to participate in the viewing journey, as relevant extensions of what audiences are already engaged with. By connecting brands with viewers at moments of high intent, the feature enables more meaningful engagement while maintaining a seamless, uninterrupted content experience for audiences. With Shop the Look, JioHotstar continues to push the boundaries of product-led innovation, building a future-ready streaming platform where technology, content, and commerce work together to create intuitive, scalable and viewer-first interactions.

Five Reasons To Visit Abu Dhabi During Ramadan

From mid-February to mid-March 2026, spend the festive month in Abu Dhabi and enjoy night markets, late night feasts and family-friendly activities

Ramadan is one of the most special times of the year in Abu Dhabi, with unforgettable experiences filled with discovery, tradition and cultural immersion. It’s a time where the emirate takes on an even warmer, welcoming glow shaped by community and connection. From serene mornings to lively, culture-rich evenings, Ramadan is a meaningful way to experience the destination, whether you’re discovering Abu Dhabi for the first time or returning to a place that already feels like home.

From Thursday 19 February to Thursday 19 March 2026 (start and end dates subject to moonsighting), visitors are invited to embrace the spirit of Ramadan in Abu Dhabi, where every day brings something new to explore and every night comes alive with flavour, celebration and community.

What Ramadan feels like in Abu Dhabi

A visit to Abu Dhabi during Ramadan will add extra richness to your experience. There’s already so much to see, do and discover here, and the
spirit of the holy month offers the perfect opportunity to both enjoy the emirate’s attractions and discover new flavours and cultural traditions.

Why visit during Ramadan

Explore a unique culinary scene that brings community together

As sunset approaches, the emirate prepares for one of the most cherished moments of the day: iftar. Restaurants across Abu Dhabi – from beachfront hotels to heritage-inspired venues – curate special menus that guests can enjoy for the fast-breaking meal. Expect a variety of options from Emirati dishes and global flavours, as well as special experiences including desert iftars and iftars at the zoo – all with a side of warm hospitality that makes every meal special.

Enjoy a destination alive well into the early hours

After dinner, Abu Dhabi continues to stay awake. Ramadan tents – traditional gathering spaces set up during the holy month where people come together to share suhoor, the pre-dawn meal and spend time with family and friends – sit alongside outdoor lounges and restaurants across Abu Dhabi. It is one of the most special ways to experience the month, with relaxed gatherings, game nights and a lively social scene that lasts long into the night. Many venues across the city and beyond stay open later than usual, making for plenty of opportunities to spend more time with loved ones.

Spend your days exploring culture

Across the emirate, cultural sites are buzzing with seasonal activities during Ramadan. Visitors can wander through the museums of Saadiyat Cultural District, home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the newly opened Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and the immersive digital art experience teamLab Phenomena, offering moments of discovery and creativity throughout the day. Elsewhere, visitors can explore heritage at Qasr Al Hosn and House of Artisans, or take a guided tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world’s most celebrated architectural landmarks.

Shop and explore a destination that stays open late

Ramadan brings extended hours at malls and retail destinations across Abu Dhabi, creating lively evenings perfect for shopping and strolling. Pop-ups, seasonal collections and late-night retail experiences add to the festive atmosphere, offering visitors more time to browse and discover.

Feel the warmth of genuine Emirati hospitality and a deep sense of community all around you

Ramadan deepens the feeling of welcome that Abu Dhabi is known for. Visitors can experience this hospitality by learning about Emirati coffee customs at Bait Al Gahwa, witnessing the firing of the cannon in iconic locations across Abu Dhabi – a historic tradition that marks the end of the daily fast at sunset – and joining community iftars or observing local volunteering initiatives that reflect the spirit of giving.

Abu Dhabi’s blend of rich flavours, cultural traditions and warm community spirit makes Ramadan a memorable time to experience the destination. Every sunset brings a new moment to enjoy, every meal is an opportunity to connect and every night reveals the vibrancy of the emirate.

CEREGROW, Nestlé India’s nutrition brand for kids, has launched its latest brand film rooted in a simple but powerful insight – Kids have small tummies; It’s easy to fill them up but filling them with nutrition is the key difference.

Through a relatable narrative where the ‘wise kid’ educates her mom about nutrition, the film brings to light an everyday reality faced by parents of young kids: while little ones often eat small portions, those limited amounts need to deliver meaningful nutrition. Kids have small stomachs, needing nutrient-dense foods to ensure appropriate nutrition. Through this film, we aim to reassure parents that in addition to the food they lovingly prepare, CEREGROW, made from grains and milk, and with nutrients such as Protein, Iron and Omega 3(ALA) can help support normal growth and development.”

Formulated for kids between the ages of 2 to 6 years, CEREGROW multigrain cereal is made with the goodness of wheat, rice, oats, milk and fruits. It is a source of 19 key nutrients, including:

Protein to help support normal muscle growth

As per of Nestlé’s ongoing commitment to young kids’ nutrition, the product contains no refined sugar and no preservatives.

There is a strong 360-degree campaign planned to amplify the brand film launch across multiple touchpoints. The film will unfold across TV and digital platforms in multiple languages. The campaign showcases the essence of Indianness through everyday moments we all experience, with stains that Ghadi — understanding every ‘mael’ of life — can truly handle

RSPL Group’s flagship brand, Ghadi Detergent, has unveiled its new campaign film, titled ‘Anokhe Desh ke Anokhe Mael.’ The film depicts the country’s rich culture in food, traditions, and real-life stains, reinforcing its core belief of being a brand truly made in India, for India— ‘Bharat Mein Bana, Bharatiyon Ke Liye Bana.’

Through its depiction of daily-life situations, from children at play, to everyday commutes in bustling train compartments, to festive gatherings, working in factories, people from different walks of life are shown living their life to the fullest—eating, working, travelling, and playing—leaving behind varied, real-life stains. Anokhe Desh ke Anokhe Mael captures this essence of Indianness, and in doing so, Ghadi reinforces its understanding of Indian homes, echoing the belief that Har Mael ko Samjhata hai Ghadi.

5 Essential Tips To Keep Winter Flu And Pneumonia At Bay This Season!

As winter continues, coughs, colds, and seasonal infections like flu and pneumonia are at their peak. Colder weather makes it easier for viruses to spread, which means more people may fall sick. The good news? You can stay ahead by taking simple steps to protect yourself and your family—like washing hands often, eating well, and staying warm.

Figuring out if it’s the flu or something more serious can be tricky because many symptoms overlap. Fever, cough, tiredness, sore throat, body aches, and even shortness of breath can all point to respiratory infections like flu or pneumonia. If these symptoms persist or worsen, it’s best to check with a doctor.

Dr Arun Wadhwa, MBBS, MD – Pediatrics, Dr Arun Wadhwa Clinic, Delhi, emphasizes the importance of accurate diagnosis during this season, “With winter illnesses on the rise, getting the right diagnosis is key to recovery and avoiding complications. If you’re feeling unwell, don’t ignore it—consult a doctor early to stay safe and healthy.”

The Need for Timely Testing

In our fast-paced lives, nobody wants to be sidelined by illness. That’s where rapid testing comes into play, offering a quick and efficient way to diagnose respiratory illnesses like the flu and pneumonia.

Dr Sonu Bhatnagar, Medical Affairs Director, Infectious Diseases, Abbott, highlighted the significance of timely testing, “Testing plays a crucial role in managing respiratory infections effectively. Rapid testing options are available for various respiratory illnesses, allowing for quick and accurate diagnosis.”

Here are some simple steps for you to take care of your health during this season:

Get Tested: Knowing what’s making you sick is the first step to getting better. If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, talk to your doctor and consider a quick test. Rapid tests help give fast answers, empowering your doctor choose the right treatment so you can recover sooner.

Monitor Your Condition: Keep an eye on your symptoms and their intensity. If your fever is rising or any symptoms are worsening, consult your doctor immediately.

Seek Treatment: With early diagnosis, you can promptly seek treatment. Make sure to properly adhere to the full course of medication and guidelines your doctor may have prescribed, to help relieve symptoms and fight the infection.

Take Care of Yourself: Get plenty of rest and sleep. Take it easy, stay well hydrated (such as with water, broths, coconut water, or fresh juice), and eat healthy.

Stay Home: If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, you should isolate so you can take time to recuperate, while also ensuring the infection is not spread further to other people.

With winter in full swing, it’s important to stay ahead and protect your health. If you’re feeling well, keep up simple preventive habits—like washing hands, wearing a mask in crowded places, and maintaining distance. Vaccines for flu and pneumonia are one of the best ways to stay protected. By taking these steps, you can enjoy the season safely and keep your loved ones healthy. Here’s to a winter full of warmth and wellness!
