Happiest Health Successfully Concluded “Gut Microbiome 101” Wellness Event Focusing on Gut-Health Wellness

  • The event featured an expert-led session and panel discussion on integrating gut health into holistic wellness routines ahead of World Microbiome Day

  • There were 150+ participants attending the event

Health and wellness knowledge platform Happiest Health hosted the Gut Microbiome 101 event at Koramangala Club, today to create awareness around the importance of gut health and the science behind gut microbiome. This informative event witnessed a panel discussion with gut-health experts deliberating on various issues related to gut health and how it can impact immunity and overall health of people.  The event focused on the vital role of gut health in overall wellbeing, with expert speakers sharing insights on the gut-brain connection that can impact various health conditions.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Raghu Krishnan, Co-CEO, Happiest Health – Knowledge along with Dr. Yogesh Shouche, Director, SKAN-RT - Pioneering microbiome researcher, Dr. Shivaram H V, Senior Consultant Surgeon, Aster R V Hospital, Tina Mitra, Chief Revenue Officer, Happiest Health, and Mr. Ravi Joshi, Co-CEO, Happiest Health – Knowledge, amidst over 150+ participants.

With gut health becoming a key focus in conversations around holistic wellbeing, the session aimed to provide clear, science-backed insights while dispelling common myths. The sessions helped attendees gain valuable insights into how diet, stress, sleep, and lifestyle directly shape the gut microbiome, while shedding light on the functionality of microbiomes in a human body. The evening was informative and empowering, offering participants actionable tools to support their digestive and mental health.

A panel discussion between Dr. Yogesh Shouche, Director, SKAN-RT - Pioneering microbiome researcher, and Dr. Shivaram H V, Senior Consultant Surgeon, Aster R V Hospital, explored these themes in depth, offering clarity and practical guidance. Together, they highlighted the latest research on the usefulness of such bacteria in the body, the relevance of microbial diversity, and the importance of preventive care through better gut maintenance.

Dr. Shivaram H V, Senior Consultant Surgeon, Aster R V Hospital, shared insights on the vast and often-overlooked world of gut microbes and their influence on human health, and said, “I am honored to be part of this initiative on World Microbiome Day. The gut microbiome is home to trillions of microorganisms that live within us and influence everything from digestion to immunity. Despite their vital role, these organisms are often overlooked, even within the medical field. Events like this are essential in raising awareness and encouraging a deeper understanding of gut health. I appreciate Happiest Health for creating this platform to explore the impact of these invisible yet powerful microbes and to initiate conversations that are long overdue.”

Dr. Yogesh Shouche, Director, SKAN-RT - Pioneering microbiome researcher, highlighted how technological progress has deepened our knowledge of gut microbes and stated, “We celebrate World Microbiome Day to recognize the immense, unseen microbial world that resides within us. Advances in DNA sequencing technologies have only recently allowed us to understand the vital roles these microorganisms play. While once associated only with disease, we now know that most microbes are beneficial. They aid digestion, strengthen immunity, and even influence mood through the gut-brain axis. This science is still emerging, but what we’ve uncovered is already reshaping how we view health. Platforms like this help bridge that gap between research and awareness, and I’m glad to be part of that effort today.”

The panel discussion was followed by an engaging session by Simrun Chopra, Celebrity Nutritionist, Health Coach, and Founder of Nourish with SIM. She provided evidence-based insights into the role of nutrition in supporting gut health and offered practical, sustainable strategies for incorporating gut-friendly habits into daily routines to help individuals make mindful food choices that benefit their gut health long-term.

Simrun Chopra elaborated on the ways of incorporating fiber into Indian diets and importance of microbiome and highlighted "I have noticed that while Indian diet is so diverse and it is so rich in everything that we need, most people aren't consuming the fruits that they need to eat. Fiber is one of the easiest when it comes to Indian cuisine. And the easiest, most practical way if you're eating at home is to just add vegetables. It's actually very simple to do in our diet and with what's available to us, whether you're eating at a cafeteria, whether you're eating in a hostel, or whether you're eating at home. There are multiple simple fruits that we can also carry with us. That works very well too."

The Gut Microbiome 101 event is part of Happiest Health’s larger mission to drive meaningful conversations around wellness and empower individuals with reliable, expert-led knowledge. Through such initiatives, the platform aims to make complex health topics more accessible and relevant to everyday life. By bringing together scientific research, clinical perspectives, and practical lifestyle strategies, the summit created a space for learning, reflection, and to help individuals make conscious choices that support long-term physical and emotional well-being.

OLIVE BY EMBASSY LAUNCHES OPEN HOTELS: THE WORLD’S FIRST REMOTE, AI-NATIVE HOTEL OPERATOR

  • India-born platform slashes staff ratios by 57%, boosts RevPAR, and exports Indian hospitality talent globally-at the speed of light~

Olive by Embassy, the tech-forward hospitality arm of Embassy Group, has launched Open Hotels, the world’s first fully remote-operated, AI-native hotel brand. Designed to transform the economics of budget-to-midscale hotels, Open is now available via two models: Franchise and Full Management.

“We were the first to run hotel receptions through video conferencing. Once we layered in Voice AI and analytics, guest satisfaction and profit margins surged,” said Kahraman Yigit, CEO & Co-founder, Olive by Embassy. “The tech was too powerful to keep to ourselves so we’re now offering it under Open Hotels. We have already signed 12 hotels and live across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, Vijayawada and Chikmagalur.”

Hotel owners can:

• Franchise: Manage their own staff while accessing Open’s full tech stack.

• Fully Outsource: Let Open run operations via its remote AI command centre.

In both cases, deployment is plug-and-play and CapEx-free.

Open replaces front desks with live video reception, handled centrally. Operational staff remain onsite, but overall staff-to-room ratio drops from 0.7 to 0.3 - a 57% efficiency gain. “We use fewer people and deliver more service,” said Yigit. “This is hospitality, reprogrammed.”

Moreover, we have filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for our innovative Remote Hotel Management System.

Voice AI monitors all spoken guest interactions at the reception (GDPR/DPDP-compliant). If dissatisfaction is sensed, remote teams are alerted instantly allowing Open to intercept and elevate the guest journey in real time. Audio-video analytics and predictive housekeeping round out a system that delivers more situational awareness with fewer people.

With 2.5 million hotel rooms, India is primed to produce a 1M-room hotel brand. Open aims to lead that charge - while exporting India’s top hospitality talent remotely, via fibre optics, at 67% the speed of light. “No planes. No visas. Just real-time hospitality from Bangalore to the world,” said Yigit.

About Olive by Embassy

Introduced in 2019, Olive by Embassy is the hospitality wing of the Embassy Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers. Staqu Technologies Partners with Haldia Petrochemicals Limited to Pioneer AI-Driven Drone Surveillance for Industrial Safety

·         First-of-its-kind integration of AI-powered drone surveillance and real-time video analytics in a petrochemicals industrial setup

·         Enables real-time fire hazard detection, PPE compliance monitoring, and instant safety alerts for rapid on-ground response.

Staqu Technologies, a leading AI-driven video analytics company, has partnered with Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (HPL), one of India’s premier petrochemical companies, to pioneer the use of AI-powered drone surveillance in industrial safety. The collaboration brings cutting-edge innovation to the vanguard of workplace security by enabling real-time monitoring of fire hazards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance across dynamic, high-risk industrial environments.

Focused on safety, HPL has consistently invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure and safety protocols, including fire detection systems, gas leak sensors, and rigorous PPE policies. With dedicated emergency response teams and continuous safety drills, HPL has created a culture where safety is integral to it’s operations. The new partnership with Staqu is a strategic move to augment these existing frameworks with the latest in artificial intelligence and automation, making safety systems not just reactive but predictively responsive.

By integrating Staqu’s proprietary AI platform, Jarvis, into drone-mounted surveillance systems, HPL will now be able to detect anomalies, potential fire hazards, and PPE violations in real time, across vast and complex industrial zones. This marks a shift from manual monitoring to intelligent, automated, and scalable safety enforcement.

Speaking about the partnership, Atul Rai, Co-Founder & CEO, Staqu Technologies, said:
"At Staqu, our mission is to harness the power of artificial intelligence to create safer, smarter, and more efficient environments across industries. Industrial safety is a critical concern, and traditional surveillance methods often fall short in addressing dynamic risks in real time. By integrating AI-powered video analytics with drone surveillance, we are not just enhancing monitoring capabilities but also redefining how industries approach safety. This technology enables proactive threat detection, minimizes human exposure to hazardous conditions, and ensures stringent compliance with safety protocols. Our partnership with Haldia Petrochemicals Limited is a step towards a future where intelligent automation safeguards lives and strengthens industrial resilience."

Echoing this sentiment, Sumit Duttagupta, CIO, Sr. Vice President and Head- Information System, Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, said, “Ensuring workplace safety is a top priority for us, and this collaboration with Staqu’s Jarvis marks a significant step in enhancing our safety & security infrastructure.
