Cummins India Limited Launched “Retrofit Emission Control Device” (RECD) For Cummins Genset Users

Cummins India Limited , one of the leading power solutions Company that designs, manufactures, distributes, and services engines and related technologies, launched an innovative clear air solution – “Retrofit Emission Control Device” (‘RECD’) in collaboration with PI Green Innovations Pvt. Ltd. 

The product was launched at the Cummins India Office Campus in Pune in the presence of Ms. Shveta Arya, Vice President – Distribution Business & New and Recon Parts Organization (DBU&NRPO) Cummins India, and Mr. Irfan Pathan, Founder & CEO, PI Green Innovations Pvt. Ltd. 

As a part of this contract, with PI Green Innovations Pvt. Ltd. Cummins will be marketing RECD through its vast distribution network in India. RECD is built on filterless technology and based on Electrostatic Precipitation fundamentals. It is highly efficient in improving air quality and capturing Particulate Matter (‘PM’) from the air with more than 70% efficiency.

RECD’s clear air filterless solution does not require manual cleaning as there is no choking. One of the key advantages of this device is minimal backpressure which ensures the safety of the Cummins engine. This device also does not need any water, chemicals, or solvents and saves energy as it does not require active regeneration and is not affected by exhaust temperature. It is resistant to a wide range of in-use DG set conditions, and remote installation is also possible. The RECD is installed after the DG exhaust (muffler/silencer), and no modifications to the exhaust are required. The separated particulate matter can be collected and used as a high-value raw material in the paint, dye, and plastics industries, eliminating the need for disposal and secondary contamination. The product is all weatherproof, needs minimal maintenance with a simple, efficient, and sturdy construction that provides constant performance and long operational life.

Drillmec International., part of the US$ 4 Billion infrastructure conglomerate, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) group completed the 1st phase of Rs. 1500 Crore (US$ 180 million) DrillMec global manufacturing hub in Kakinada, Telangana for manufacturing Oil Drilling Rigs, ancillary equipment as well as establish an R&D Centre and a Centre of Excellence for the imparting training & skills to the workforce of this sector. This facility, at its full capacity, will employ in excess of 2500 people directly and another 2500 indirectly.

The MEIL’s DrillMec global manufacturing and research facility will cater to both Indian and global energy exploration markets especially in South Asia, South East Asia, MENA and the Indo-Pacific.

On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day and in celebration of “Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Mr. P. P. Reddy, Founder & Executive Chairman of MEIL Group dedicated the DrillMec Manufacturing Hub to the nation. Mr. P. P. Reddy also announced the handover of the “First Ever Indigenously built Oil Drilling Rig” to ONGC, from whom MEIL Group had received a Rs. 6000 Crore  order for the manufacture & delivery 47 Oil Drilling Rigs- a product to showcase 33 years of  commitment by MEIL’s towards Engineering Excellence.  To mark his commitment & contribution to India’s Amrit Mahotsav MEIL Founder & Executive Chairman Mr. P. P. Reddy unfurled the flag atop the newly manufactured Oil Drilling Rig, located at the DrillMec factory, heralding India’s presence on the high technology global Oil Rig Manufacturing map.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Celebrates Independence Day With School Children

Toyota Kirloskar Motor today celebrated 75th independence day by engaging with students at Government High School, Mayaganahalli near Bidadi. As a part of TKM’s novel initiative – iCARE, volunteering employees, their families and members of Gram Panchayat and community members wholeheartedly participated in the event by flag hoisting at the school and took part in activities like arts and crafts, creating awareness on environment initiatives.

The event was graced by Mr Sudeep S Dalvi, Senior Vice President and Chief Communication Officer, Swapnesh R Maru, Executive Vice President, and R Venkatakrishnan, Vice President, and senior officials from TKM.  The participants made mural paintings on the theme that focused on educational and values. They also undertook a de-weeding and plantation activity in and around the school where 200 saplings comprising of medicinal plants, fruits, and general species were planted. In addition, the day also saw awareness session conducted by TKM HR on career guidance and road safety.

As a good corporate citizen, TKM remains committed to bring in more enriching and sustainable CSR projects for the holistic development of the community, thus effectively contributing to the cause of positive societal growth for a stronger India.

Christ School ICSE Enters Into To 2 World Records Namely Exclusive World Records And Kings Book of Records

It was a day to fly with Colours at HOSACHIGURU COLOROTHAN SEASON 14  with over 3,600 people across three generations – old, young and children, men and women, including students, teachers and parents, and from age 3 to 90 years – took part in the Fest, for the first time in school history, to mark 75th Year of Independence Day  in a truly special way. The Christ School ICSE Bengaluru  campus was awash in a riot of colours trying their hand at giving shape to their emotions and creativity. 

The Festival was Inaugurated by Brig. Jose Abraham, Rev. Fr. Nilson Davis Pallissery CMI , Principal, Christ School ISCE, along with  Rev. Fr. Martin Onasseril CMI, Vice Principal,  Rev. Fr. Regi Koodapattu, Financial Manager, Rev. Fr. Fenil CMI, Director of Special School  and Kishore Joseph , Director, Breathe Entertainment and Founder- Colorothon. 

Colorothon is a concept of Breathe Entertainment, and hosted by Christ School ISCE, the Festival offered the participants a vibrant and kaleidoscopic experience of a cultural potpourri across many media and formats like Performing arts, Fine and traditional arts, Culinary arts, visual and digital art, art installations, interactive art, magic show, live painting by professional artists  and contemporary art

The main attraction of the day being the special children  participating in full enthusiasm that struck a ready chord with the people. 

To commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements, the Christ School ICSE had symbolically unveiled a patriotic Art work measuring 7x10 feet which was drawn by an artist by name Aneesh from Kidschaupal. 

Subsequently 75 collages were also exhibited by the Christ School children contributed by 2650 children covering the journey of 75 years of Independence starting from 1947 to 2022 which includes Coivd -19 

Kishore Joseph, Director, Breathe Entertainment, and the brain behind the event, said choosing Independence  Day for the event is our way of attempting to bring people together”  and to bring out the child in everyone. “The focus was on creativity and the right mix of colors, and it feels really great to motivate kids by organizing such events,” he said. 

Hosachiguru  was hosted by Christ School, ICSE , because, said Rev. Fr. Nilson Davis Pallissery CMI , Principal,  Christ School ICSE, it’s a unique event which brings together people belonging to three generations, students, parents & teachers  under a single platform to express themselves through art and painting. 

“We have blown the myth that art is avant-garde, and that it is the province of the elite. Creativity flows from imagination and both flow from the power of your mind, your thinking, and not the power of your purse, your bottom line, your lineage, caste, religion or whatever. This is what we aim to stress and propagate through Colorothon  Festival,” said Fr. Nilson Davis CMI.

Incidentally, Christ School are eyeing an entry into the Exclusive Book World Records  and the Kings Book of  World Records for organizing the largest painting extravaganza in the world in the school sector. 

According to the organizers, 300 best paintings of the participants judged by renowned artists, will be auctioned and donated to Charity Partners.
