BPCL Collaborates With Microsoft To Leverage Cloud And AI Technologies To Redefine Customer Experience

 


·         Announces a seven-year partnership with Microsoft to build a cloud led, resilient business operation

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) and Microsoft announced a strategic cloud partnership aimed at accelerating the firm’s digital transformation and shaping the future of innovation in the oil and gas industry. The collaboration seeks to unlock the opportunities that Microsoft’s cloud provides to address the unique challenges of the oil and gas sector, enabling BPCL to accelerate the modernization of its tech architecture to enhance customer experience.

The partnership gives a strong fillip to BPCL’s digital-first strategy, as part of ‘Project Anubhav’ to redefine customer experience through the pillars of trust, personalization, and convenience. Through a seven-year collaboration, Microsoft will provide infrastructure as a service (IAAS), platform as a service (PAAS), network and security services on the cloud, including Azure native services on Azure Datafactory, API, IOT and analytics. Microsoft’s secure cloud platform with data privacy at the center will fuel BPCL’s cloud transformation, providing the intelligence to transform operations, build smarter supply chains and increase customer engagement. Both companies have also been working closely to provide a secure collaboration experience for BPCL’s employee ecosystem across the country, with Microsoft Teams and workplace productivity suite.  

As part of the strategic partnership, the companies will focus on the following:

·         Creating a digital customer experience for BPCL customers through UFill-an innovative fuelling solution powered by Microsoft Azure, which delivers on BPCL’s promise of ensuring that their customers have complete control over Time, Technology and Transparency as part of their fuelling experience. With UFill, the invitation to customers is to “Fast forward your fill”, leveraging the latest in digital technology which obviates the need for looking at zero or final reading and such offline manual interventions.

·         To reaffirm its brand promise of quality and trust, BPCL is digitally transforming its backend operations, enabling IoT powered supply chains with Microsoft Azure.  BPCL’s Digital Nerve Center, IRIS will remotely monitor thousands of sensors, integrating across 19000+ fuel stations, retail terminals, bottling plants, consumer pumps, RDI (Railway Diesel Installations) and VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) systems, to ensure BPCL’s entire supply chain is tamper proof and delivers 100% percent quality.

·         Powered by Azure Analytics, BPCL is building a conversational AI platform, the chat bot, Urja, to provide access to anytime, anywhere customer support across platforms customer support across platforms anytime, anywhere. Urja can be accessed by customers on platforms of their choice, including WhatsApp and Facebook, providing the flexibility and convenience of access at a click.

Castrol Announces Winners Of Super Mechanic Contest 2021-22


-        Winners of the fourth edition were declared at a grand finale held in Delhi NCR

-        Over 24,000 mechanics from across the country were trained by Castrol India on various topics in masterclasses endorsed by the Automotive Skilling Development Council (ASDC) of India

Castrol India Limited, India’s leading automotive and industrial lubricant manufacturing company, today announced the winners of the fourth edition of its Super Mechanic Contest, India’s largest mechanic skilling initiative aimed at upskilling Indian mechanics through a competitive national platform. The winners were felicitated by Hon’ble Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; Sandeep Sangwan, Managing Director, Castrol India and Barun Das, CEO, TV9 Network at a felicitation ceremony held in Delhi NCR. 

The fourth edition of the Castrol Super Mechanic Contest was conducted using both physical and digital media to ensure maximum participation from mechanics across India. It registered record participation from more than 140,000 mechanics, through the contest’s Interactive Voice Response (IVR) round and a dedicated website. The contest included a range of new digital tools and features, including a mobile game to enable participating mechanics to master various assignments and challenges. Each contestant, in addition to testing dexterity in their field, also gained invaluable and relevant industry knowledge through the various stages. The top 50 participants competed in an on-ground finale spread over three days from 5th to 7th April 2022. 

Extending its commitment towards upskilling and uplifting the mechanic community, Castrol India, in partnership with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) created a specially designed curriculum covering new-age vehicle diagnostics, digital tools for next-generation vehicles, and BS-VI technology, etc. The masterclasses were attended by over 24,000 mechanics spread across the country.

Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 Gets Livelier With The Evolution Of MT DNA


-          New Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 Price start from Rs. 1,59,900 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. as a part of its zealous brand strategy ‘The Call of the Blue’, launched the evolved and refreshing Version 2.0 of its popular MT-15 model in India, with a host of new features.

The new MT-15 Version 2.0 features an inverted front fork with 37mm inner tubes, wherein the lower end (un-sprung) is light, and the upper end (sprung) has thick outer tubes bolted to the chassis for higher rigidity. The box-section swingarm is also replaced with a MotoGP inspired Aluminium swingarm. This makes for improved stability in corners and under hard braking, pushing the boundaries of agility by enhancing the rider control. The MT-15 Version 2.0 weighs just 139kgs and features Yamaha’s patented Delta Box frame, that gives it the edge in terms of handling capabilities.

The MT-15 Version 2.0 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 155cc fuel-injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. The MT-15 Version 2.0 also features a slick shifting 6-speed gearbox that is mated with an Assist and Slip clutch for lighter actuation. The MT-15 Version 2.0 produces 18.4PS of peak power at 10,000rpm, with peak torque output of 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm.

In terms of electronics, the MT-15 Version 2.0 features a newly designed, fully digital LCD cluster that displays a customizable animated text (When ignition is turned on), along with a Gear Shift, Gear Position and VVA indicator. The LCD cluster also displays Call, E-mail and SMS Alerts along with Smartphone battery status available through the Bluetooth Enabled Y-Connect App. The App also offers information related to Maintenance Recommendations, Parking Location, Fuel Consumption, Malfunctions, Revs Dashboard and Ranking on the Smartphone.

The naked streetfighter continues to feature a Bi-Functional LED Headlight with LED Position Lights, high-raised LED Tail-light, Single Channel ABS with a 282mm (Front) and 220mm (Rear) disc brake, a super wide 140mm rear Radial tyre, and Side Stand with Engine Cut-off Switch.

On the design front, the MT-15 Version 2.0 continues to illustrate the impulsive MT style by offering freedom in the riding position and focusing on the design expression of 'Torque and Agility'. The fresh set of colours on the MT-15 Version 2.0 include Cyan Storm (new), Racing Blue (new), Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black, these coupled with an edgier set of graphics further strengthens its aggressive style and sporty character.
