IDA Ireland, the national investment agency supporting global businesses in Ireland, has announced its participation in the NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit 2026 in Bengaluru on September 1–2.
Attending the event is David Gaskin, VP – APAC, Technology, Content, Consumer and Business Services, alongside Kanishk Kumar, Country Director – India, IDA Ireland, to engage with India’s technology and engineering ecosystem, looking to cultivate a synergistic relationship between Indian firms and Ireland.
Gaskin’s visit comes at a significant moment as India and Ireland deepen their engagement across high-value technology sectors. Ireland continues to deepen its investment and focus across software, cloud, cybersecurity, AI and data analytics, semiconductors, and digital transformation, which are areas that increasingly sit at the intersection of India’s engineering strengths and Europe’s demand for high-value technology and innovation capabilities.
IDA Ireland’s India team specifically works with companies across IT-enabled services, hardware, software and product development, alongside advanced engineering and future mobility.

Ireland is home to 16 of the world’s top 20 technology companies and employs over 106,000 people in ICT, giving Indian companies access to a strong base for software, cloud, R&D and advanced manufacturing. With Ireland leading in demand for AI-related jobs, the country is well positioned to support higher-value engineering and product development, reinforced by IDA Ireland’s target of securing €7 billion in new RD&I investment under its 2025–29 strategy.
For Indian technology companies evaluating European expansion and building AI, cloud and cybersecurity capabilities, Ireland offers an established ecosystem in which to build and scale technology operations, supported by specialised talent, an English-speaking business environment and strong links between industry, universities and research centres.
