Trend Micro Vision One Stops Threats Faster, Streamlines Operations And Cuts Costs

* Customers have experienced 79% savings when consolidating vendors with an extended detection and response solution

Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global cybersecurity leader, today announced new analyst research that reveals organizations using Trend Micro Vision One, its extended detection and response (XDR) solution, benefit from enhanced security effectiveness, business enablement and cost reduction. Vendor consolidation, automation, more efficient triage and investigation and fewer successful attacks could enable cost savings of 63% for Trend Micro Vision One customers and 79% by leveraging Trend Micro’s Managed XDR service.

Threat detection and response has become increasingly challenging as cyber risk continues to evolve. More sophisticated and widespread attacks combined with uncorrelated data, a general lack of visibility, and an overwhelming number of alerts puts security teams without XDR capabilities at risk.

ESG found that, “Organizations using the XDR capabilities of Trend Micro Vision One can eliminate siloed views and processes, reduce cybersecurity complexity, pursue new opportunities more confidently, and reduce spending on security products.”

“Once we ripped and replaced our previous solutions with Trend Micro, we saw immediate improvements in performance. I never looked back after that,” said Michael Perez, network administrator for Fabens Independent School District. “It has saved me unlimited amounts of time and money because we have not been successfully attacked. Since deploying Trend Micro solutions, we’ve been stronger than ever. Trend Micro was built to do security.”

Trend Micro Vision One goes beyond XDR by analyzing and correlating security telemetry from endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, emails, and networks—enabling SOC teams to prioritize and respond to threats more effectively. Current customers have benefitted from:

Security effectiveness: “The reduction in complexity has led to a reduction in human-caused errors of over 25%. This gives us faster detection and remediation,” said VP/CISO of a medical supplies and services company.

Business enablement: Eliminating siloed processes and views supports enhanced, streamlined operational efficiency, making it easier for organizations to take advantage of new opportunities without adding additional resources.

Cost reduction: “Our overall product spend has gone down almost 50% when you look at all of the products that Trend Micro has replaced,” noted a CISO in the hospitality industry.

“Trend Micro Vision One empowers security teams with a centralized and powerful threat detection solution,” said Vijendra Katiyar, Country Manager, India & SAARC, Trend Micro. “Our XDR capabilities equip teams with the tools they need — making it easy for analysts to cut through the noise of complex campaigns deployed by malicious threat actors. ESG’s independent validation of our XDR approach provides confirmation that Trend Micro Vision One improves security posture, accelerates the speed of business and reduces cost.”

Trend Micro’s cybersecurity platform delivers security consolidation without sacrificing industry-leading protection across all layers. This approach offers the broad visibility and insights SOC teams need, while providing time efficiency through higher quality alerts. These benefits empower organizations to confidently invest in their digital transformation for long-term protection and success.

Keysight And Qualcomm First To Achieve 10 Gbps Data Connection Using 5G New Radio Dual Connectivity

* Industry milestone reached by aggregating 5G mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrum

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that delivers advanced design and validation solutions to help accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced a demonstration at Mobile World Congress 2021 (MWC 21) of a ten gigabit per second (Gbps) data connection using 5G new radio dual connectivity (NR-DC), an industry-first milestone achieved in close collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

The demonstration included Keysight's network emulation platform and Snapdragon® X65 5G Modem-RF System with Qualcomm® QTM545 mmWave Antenna Module to aggregate 5G mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrum. The achievement builds on a long-term collaboration between the two companies to drive 5G commercialization across the device ecosystem. NR-DC allows 5G NR devices to concurrently connect and aggregate multiple NR cells, leading to significantly increased data transfer speeds.

"We're pleased to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies to reach another industry-first milestone that lays the foundation for consumers and enterprises to achieve wired-broadband grade speeds in this next phase of 5G," said Cao Peng, vice president and general manager for Keysight's wireless test group.

"This accomplishment clearly reflects that the industry has entered the second phase of 5G NR deployment, which will enable advanced wireless communications built on the latest 3GPP Release 16 specification."

The demonstration used spectrum in both frequency range 1 (FR1) and FR2 (mmWave), which enables 5G user equipment (UE) to leverage wide bandwidths and high order modulation, leading to data transfer speeds of more than 10 Gbps. Flexible spectrum utilization combined with higher data speed connections allows mobile operators to dynamically deploy 5G services in wireless congested areas where bandwidth resources need to be managed efficiently to support advanced applications.

"Qualcomm Technologies is pleased to work with Keysight to develop pioneering solutions that allow device makers to accelerate innovations that support considerable performance improvements," said Francesco Grilli, vice president, Product Management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. "This achievement builds on the recent milestone Qualcomm Technologies and Keysight realized in March 2021, showcasing 5G low/mid and high band aggregation across key global combinations on a smartphone form-factor device equipped with the Snapdragon X65 using Keysight's 5G network emulation solutions. Together, we move significantly closer to providing users access to seamless, rapid connections on 5G devices in traditionally congested areas worldwide."

Qualcomm Technologies also used Keysight's 5G Protocol R&D Toolset, part of the company's suite of network emulation solutions, to establish the industry's first 5G NR data connection based on 3GPP Rel-16. This allows a connected device ecosystem to develop designs that lead to improved efficiencies in transportation, logistics and manufacturing, as well as providing better cell coverage and connection speeds for consumers.

Madame Reignites Childhood Memories With It’s New ‘Tom & Jerry’ Collection

Leading fashion brand Madame has created a whimsical and nostalgic collection inspired by Tom & Jerry, one of the world’s most famous cartoon franchises. Launched in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Madame's Tom & Jerry collection is an ode to the hilarious cat and mouse ‘frenemies’, and showcases a selection of edgy graphic tees and denim pieces featuring the timeless cartoons.

With the 90’s and 2000’s fashion making a well-deserved comeback in 2021, the era of eye-catching graphic tees and cut out jeans paired with a smart denim jacket is slowly making its way back into vogue. Madame’s Tom & Jerry collection is a visual representation of 90’s nostalgia, featuring a collection of striking, edgy graphic tees and denim fashion pieces featuring the two of the most timelessly playful cartoon characters to ever exist.

This iconic fashion range consists of a wide variety of casual pieces such as tees, jackets, shorts, dresses and jumpsuits - a complete range for the modern, whimsical woman who fancies a touch of mischief inspired by her childhood.

Now that 90’s trends are coming back into fashion, the apparel industry for the modern woman is seeing a surge in retro prints, cuts and silhouettes. This collection aims at seamlessly reintroducing the iconic trends of puffed sleeves and elasticated hems into modern everyday wear to create a look that is effortlessly trendy and sits perfectly between the past and the present.

A clothing brand that first emerged as a crowd favourite owing to its winter wear collection, the colour palette of this range is derived by subtle, classic winter hues such as dusty pink, cream and mauve. Madame’s Tom & Jerry apparel collection amalgamates everyday fashion basics with chic, mood-boosting elements to create a clothing range fit for the woman who fancies a piece or two in her wardrobe that’s layered with classic quirkiness. The collection retails for Rs. 1199 to Rs. 2999, making it accessible to women with any budget, low or high.

Commenting on her creative process for this collection, head design at Madame, Parika Rawal, said, “The idea of creating a playful collection like this came to me while I was flipping through channels on my TV and caught a glimpse of The Tom & Jerry Show. When you think of 90’s nostalgia, this cartoon show is one that every man, woman and child has watched at some point in their lives - either by themselves or with their little ones. That was when I decided that if I had to pick a theme for my new collection, there couldn’t be one more iconic or more widespread than these beloved cartoon characters. Clothing is an expression of your personal style - and this energetic collection is meant to bring out the child in you, through fashion.”

While expressing his views on the launch of this playful collection, Akhil Jain, Executive Director, Madame, commented, “No longer is the modern woman limited in terms of choices when it comes to personal fashion. With the Tom & Jerry collection, we are celebrating the bold, playful, iconic women who don’t shy away from making standout fashion choices and who let their personal style do the talking for them.”

“Tom and Jerry are undoubtedly two of the best loved characters in India. Everyone, no matter what age you are, has grown up watching the classic duo in action. We’ve loved working with Madame on this collection which perfectly captures the cartoon’s unique energy and sense of fun,” added Vikram Sharma, Head of Consumer Products, Advertising & Partnerships at Warner Media India, Southeast Asia & Korea. In India, Warner Bros. launched Tom & Jerry: The Movie in cinemas in February while the franchise’s TV series are available on Cartoon Network.

The Company supported Covid-19 relief efforts by providing assistance to over 1.4 lakh people including migrants, daily wage earners, those who lost livelihood, and those who were left stranded or forced to seek shelter in transit camps. Food, masks and sanitizers along with information kits on precautions to be taken for safety, health and hygiene, were arranged for thousands of truck drivers, the unsung frontline heroes who played a stellar role in ensuring that the wheels of nation kept running with seamless transportation of supplies, even as the nation remained suspended in lockdown. Additionally, the company donated Rs. ~7 Cr towards Covid-19 relief, 50% of which was contributed by the company’s employees.

Tata Motors also remained steadfast in its efforts to address some of India’s most pressing developmental challenges through its flagship welfare programmes in the areas of Health (Aarogya), Education (Vidyadhanam), Employability (Kaushalya), and Environment (Vasundhara). Its progress on the pledge to make the impact of CSR self-sustaining gained momentum with beneficiary communities increasingly owning the programmes.
