Fintech Start-up GimBooks Introduces Indian Regional Languages on Its Accounting & Bookkeeping Platform

* With the integration of multiple local languages the platform, GimBooks aims to serve a wider and more diverse audience base

* Gimbooks’ mobile-first SaaS solution is empowering SME business owners across India to manage their accounts and inventory digitally

Raipur, Chattisgarh-based fintech start-up GimBooks has announced the addition of  9 regional languages on its Cloud-based ‘Made-in-India’ business management and accounting platform for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The newly incorporated languages on GimBooks’ mobile app and website (desktop version) are: Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Odiya and Punjabi. Previously, GimBooks’ mobile-first, easy-to-use solution was available only in English and Hindi languages.

With the introduction of the latest feature, GimBooks’ users will now be able to view its ‘Easy Invoice Manager’ Android app and integrated website (www.gimbooks.com) in the default language of their choice, as per the ‘primary language’ option selected in their devices. The end-to-end vernacularization/localization within the platform will help the start-up to customize customer experiences and scale up vis-à-vis brand diversification.

This move by GimBooks comes at a time when regional language-based content consumption is exploding amongst Internet and smartphone users in India. In the recent past, many entertainment platforms, apps. etc. in our country had grown exponentially after launching in multiple vernacular languages. Taking a note of these aspects and also given the fact that the adoption of Hindi or English is still quite low in South Indian states and some other belts of the country, GimBooks’ team eventually figured out that they were losing out on a considerably large opportunity to add more customers, as their app did not support regional languages in the past. To overcome this issue and bridge the gap, GimBooks decided to come up with this new feature of deploying multiple regional languages on its platform.

Speaking about the newly-added functionality, Mr. Yash Raj Agrawal, Founder & CEO, GimBooks says, “By introducing 100 per cent localization on our platform through the integration of a number of regional languages, we at GimBooks want to capitalize on the wider market opportunity of Bharat, and enable our users to be able to see and read each and every word in their preferred local language. This new upgrade can be said to be entirely hassle-free and customer-convenience-oriented, as the user can seamlessly switch his/her language settings anytime. We are hopeful that by viewing content in their respective local languages, our customers will build a better rapport with the app and our company. On the other hand, we at GimBooks will have the chance to cater to newer demographics and audience base, thereby gaining competitive advantage in the market, and expecting to see increased customer adaptation rates.”

Highlighting the achievements and the future way forward for GimBooks, Mr. Agarwal adds, “We have hit the milestone of 1 Million downloads of our mobile app, and are on the verge of crossing a paid customer base of ten thousand. GimBooks was also recently announced the proud winner of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Innovation App Challenge launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from our consistent focus on personalization and customization, we are soon planning to launch other useful, value-add features like cataloguing and invoice-based financing on our platform. We will also roll out neo-banking activities in the near future which will enable our users to send and accept payments from the app itself. In the long run, GimBooks wants to become the most preferred, one-stop business management solution for Indian traders, retailers, Kirana shop owners and millions of other small and micro-level businesses across the country.”

GimBooks, launched originally is an invoice-maker app in October 2017, modified over the years into a full-fledged book-keeping and accounting platform dedicated to SME entrepreneurs, that allows the users to digitally create GST-compliant invoices, waybills, purchase orders, challans, and further helps them to manage inventory and expenses, keep track of various business documents such as sales and purchase reports, notify payment reminders to customers, and so on. One major USP of GimBooks is that it offers domain-specific, ‘Do-It-Yourself’ bookkeeping solution, wherein invoices and other documents can be customized according to the specific industry where the user belongs to. The start-up runs on a freemium subscription model; it has a current active User base of 1.5 lakhs and growing at a rate of 15-20% MOM.

Esperer Onco Nutrition (EON) Announces No More Malnutrition, a Socially Responsible Mission

The occurrence of malnutrition in cancer patients varies from 30% to 80%. Malnutrition and Cachexia -associated weight loss in cancer patients is understood to be initiated by the grouping of inflammation, under nutrition and cancer-brought catabolism. Mission No More Malnutrition is a noble mission to combat and arrest the crucial issue of malnutrition plaguing the cancer care process in India. EON is a bioresearch organization in Mumbai making significant contributions in the nutritional therapy space for cancer patients since 2018.

Esperer Nutrition undertakes intensive well-rounded cancer research and believes that the disease itself is somatic but the suffering and often death resulting from it is due to psychological reasons more than from the biological disease. Esperer Nutrition intends to re-inculcate faith in life and hope for life in patients. It is a mission that was envisioned when Esperer Nutrition identified the Indian market flooded with international nutritional formulas that weren’t best suited for Indian cancer patients; they were inaccessible and very expensive.  In its journey to discover its mission as cancer research organization, Esperer recognized this‘A3 Hurdle’ of accessibility, affordability and acceptability which is arising with an increasing number of international formulas in the Indian market.

EON aims to address the problem of malnutrition by cracking the aforementioned dilemmas of accessibility, affordability and acceptability with a passion driven project. To accomplish this goal; narrowing the focus and getting more specific Esperer Nutrition is building an Indian gut specific nutritional product to combat Malnutrition. Esperer Nutrition deems it necessary for targeted nutrition to hold hands with nutritional therapy.

Keeping ‘A3 Hurdle’ in mind Esperer Nutrition now has a mission, Mission No More Malnutrition. . No more Malnutrition is a moral initiative taken up by Esperer Nutrition to reach out a lending hand to financially challenged patients and help them by co-paying for Esperer’s research based condition specific nutrition products and supplements. This would cut the cord of the vicious circle of Malnutrition and help patients recover without bearing the financial brunt. The co-payment program undertaken by Esperer Nutrition would envisage Esperer Nutrition paying for the majority amount with a minimal contribution from the patient. In cases calling in for complete financial assistance Esperer will bear the complete cost to deliver the best and desired nutrition to the patient. Esperer’s Co-Pay program can be accessed from their website by a simple form or can also be availed by calling in the customer care services with the entire start-to-end budget decision process not taking more than 48 hours with the help of an expert committee set up for the cause by Esperer Nutrition.

With NM, EON aims to make targeted nutrition easy to access and afford by the patient through as many convenient channels as possible. This mission will also ensure that the patient grasps beneficial and obtainable nutrition to deal with Malnutrition. Importantly, EON wants the patient to enjoy the product and in effect increase the resulting compliance and reduce patients succumbing to death due to malnutrition.

“Cancer care as a disease management program should keep widening its horizons from as many sighted and available areas as possible due to its large-scale effects on the patient more psychologically than somatically. We at EON grab every opportunity we can to make this deadly disease more manageable for our patients. NM is one such mission for us where we aim to save 30% of patients who could be possibly saved with efficient delivery of targeted nutrition by assisting them in bearing the financial burden”, says, Raktim Chattopadhyay, Founder & CEO at Esperer Onco Nutrition (EON).

About EON

Esperer Nutrition strives to champion the role of nutritional therapies that have proven clinical & health economic value, & improve the quality of people’s lives. EON is destined to understand, treat & help prevent a range of medical conditions by leveraging nutrition and life sciences.

Ather Energy unveils Series1, the collectors’ Edition of the Ather 450X

One of India’s first completely indigenous intelligent electric vehicle manufacturers, Ather Energy, today unveiled the much-awaited collector’s edition of the Ather 450X, called Series1. This limited-edition scooter is available only to those Ather Energy enthusiasts who pre-ordered the scooter before the national launch of the Ather 450X on January 28th, 2020.  Series1 has been conceptualized and designed to celebrate the amplified performance of the Ather 450X - its best-in-class power, torque, acceleration and it's light hybrid aluminum frame chassis by using premium color & finish, and a first for Indian roads, a vehicle with translucent panels.

As a design led manufacturer, building Make in India products, the truly special feature of Series1 are the translucent panels in the rear, that offer a peek inside the scooter. This will be the first for an Indian OEM to offer tinted translucent panels that allow one to see the ‘insides’ of the scooter. Ather’s distinct cast aluminum chassis is visible under the seat and the trellis frame which has been a unique aspect of the Ather scooters. The Series1 edition of the scooter celebrates the engineering, tech prowess, and the performance of the Ather 450 product line.

Starkly different from the existing range of colors (grey, white, mint green), the Series1 comes with a high-gloss metallic black body color combined with accents of red. These signature colors also feature on the 7” touchscreen dashboard of the Series1 scooters, with a special intro screen and subtle hints of red in the UI designed for the scooters.

The Series1 edition will have a 6 kW PMSM electric motor which gets its energy from a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, like the standard Ather 450X. It will also have the same set of riding modes - Eco, Ride, Sport, and a high-performance 'Warp' mode. According to internal tests, the 0-40 kmph acceleration time of just 3.3 seconds, makes the Ather 450X one of the quickest electric scooters in the 125cc performance categories in India.

Deliveries of Series1 will begin by November 2020 in all 11 cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Coimbatore, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kozhikode, and Kolkata. Consumers who pre-ordered the Ather 450X before 28th of January 2020 are eligible to opt for Series1. The initial batches of Series1 scooters will ship out with black panels and will be upgraded to the translucent panels in May 2021.

Quote by Tarun Mehta, CEO, and Co-founder of Ather Energy

“Like all our scooters, the Series1 is built from scratch and we hope our community loves it as much as we loved building it. Building automotive grade translucent panels is tricky and I am super excited that Ather is bringing them out for the first time ever with Series1.The teams have been working on it for months and despite the lockdown have been able to produce something truly fantastic.”
