Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s leading public sector bank, organised a Pan-India Blood Donation Camp. At Head office, it was organised in association with Indian Red Cross Society, as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, being observed from 27 October to 02 November 2025, on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
This initiative was led by Shri Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO of PNB, Executive Director Shri D. Surendran and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Raghvendra Kumar. Reinforcing the spirit of service and integrity, a large number of employees participated in the blood donation camp with full zeal and enthusiasm. It was first of its kind initiative taken where more than 3200 unit of blood were collected from 123 blood donation camps held simultaneously across India.
Shri Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO, said, “PNB’s Blood Donation Camp exemplifies how integrity extends beyond professional conduct to acts of compassion that strengthen our social fabric. By donating blood, our employees have demonstrated that vigilance and empathy together create a more responsible and humane organisation.”
Shri Raghvendra Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, said, “Humanity and honesty are two important pillars of Good Governance. Donating blood saves lives and shows commitment to service with integrity. For us, vigilance involves genuine compassion and firm commitment”
