V-Guard Wins Prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2025

* Recognised for manufacturing excellence across five facilities in its very first year of participation

V-Guard Industries Limited, India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics brand, has been honoured with the prestigious Performance Excellence Award at the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) 2025. In a significant milestone for the company, V-Guard secured this national-level recognition in its very first year of participation.

What makes this achievement especially noteworthy is that the recognition was awarded not to a single manufacturing unit, but to V-Guard as a corporate manufacturing entity, represented collectively by its five manufacturing facilities located in Chavadi, Kashipur, Perundurai, Sikkim Unit 2, and Roorkee.

The IMC RBNQA is regarded as one of India’s most respected benchmarks for organisational excellence. Modelled on the globally acclaimed Malcolm Baldrige framework of the United States, the award follows a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process that assesses leadership, operational excellence, strategic planning, customer focus, workforce engagement, and business performance. The awards are administered by the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an institution established in 1907 that has played a pivotal role in India’s economic development for over a century.

The evaluation process involved the submission of a detailed performance report covering V-Guard’s manufacturing operations and corporate functions during the initial consensus review stage. This was followed by an extensive on-site assessment and verification process conducted by the evaluation panel at the company’s Chavadi manufacturing facility. The assessors further engaged with multiple corporate functions before the final review by the Awards Committee.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Mithun Chittilappilly, Managing Director of V-Guard Industries Ltd, said., said, “Winning the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in our very first year of participation is a proud milestone for V-Guard. This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to building a culture rooted in operational excellence, process maturity, and continuous improvement across the organisation. It is especially meaningful because it acknowledges the collective strength of our manufacturing ecosystem and the shared commitment demonstrated by teams across plants and corporate functions. As we continue to strengthen our manufacturing footprint and advance towards a unified One V-Guard Operating System, this achievement further reinforces our belief that sustainable excellence is built through collaboration, discipline, and a relentless focus on quality.”

At the core of this recognition is V-Guard’s proprietary VGMEA 2.0 framework, which integrates key principles from globally recognised business excellence models while aligning process maturity with measurable business outcomes. The framework has played a critical role in driving standardisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the company’s manufacturing network.

This recognition further strengthens V-Guard’s position as a future-ready organisation focused on delivering quality-driven innovation and operational excellence at scale. With a legacy spanning nearly five decades, the company continues to build robust systems and capabilities that support sustainable growth and superior consumer experiences.

Coke Studio Bharat Reimagines A Forgotten War Story Through A Wife’s Eyes In ‘Kachaudi Gali’

Coke Studio Bharat returns with its third release of Season 4, travelling this time to the lanes of Benaras for Kachaudi Gali, a folk song inspired by the forgotten human cost of the First Anglo-Burmese War.

The song opens in Kachaudi Gali, where a woman watches her husband get marched away by the British Army, pulled from Mirzapur and shipped to Rangoon (Yangon, Myanmar), for a war he never chose. Her voice carries grief, fury, and the weight of a home suddenly emptied, intimate, local, and rooted in place in the way only folk music can be. What she feels is what thousands of ordinary families once felt: a loss that never made it into history books, but lived quietly for years in the narrow lanes of cities like Benaras.

Bringing this story to audiences are three distinct voices. Rekha Bhardwaj, whose voice has long carried the weight of longing and defiance in equal measure, anchors the track with an emotional authority that feels entirely earned. Utpal Udit brings a grounded folk sensibility to the production, holding the song's texture without softening its edges. Khwaab weaves through the track as a thread of quiet tension, letting the grief breathe without ever letting it collapse.

Shantanu Gangane, IMX (Integrated Marketing Experience) Lead, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, said “One of the most exciting things about folk music is that it carries memory in a very natural way. Bhojpuri has a rich tradition of storytelling that, over time, has slowly faded from the mainstream. With Coke Studio Bharat, the endeavour has been to bring these lost stories and cultures back into the conversation. Kachaudi Gali is a powerful example of that approach: a truly local story interpreted through the distinct voices and creative instincts of Rekha Bhardwaj, Utpal Udit, and Khwaab, in a way that feels both timeless and contemporary.”

Rekha Bhardwaj said, “Kachaudi Gali sits in a very specific emotional space. It’s not about the war, it’s about what the war takes from you. We tried to hold on to that intimacy and let the emotion come through honestly. What I loved about doing this with Coke Studio Bharat was that even with the scale, the song still feels deeply personal.”

Utpal Udit said, "The interesting part was building the world of the song through sound. A lot of the production came from small details: the pauses, the restraint, the roughness in certain places. For me, it was important that the song stayed honest to Bhojpuri folk and became a way to bring back its language and culture. Coke Studio Bharat understood that instinct, and that is what made the track come together the way it did.”

Khwaab said, "What Coke Studio Bharat does is take something deeply local, a lane, a dialect, a war no one talks about anymore, and give it the kind of production and platform that lets the world hear it. Kachaudi Gali taught me that the smallest details hold the most feeling, and this was the right place to bring that out."

With Kachaudi Gali, Coke Studio Bharat Season 4 continues to explore stories that have lived on through folk memory, regional music, and oral tradition for generations. Following Ae Ajnabee and Bulleya Ve, the season continues to reinterpret local narratives through contemporary artists, sounds, and collaborations for audiences today.

50 Years Of Maaza®: Bottling India’s Enduring Love For Mangoes Across India

Coca-Cola India celebrates 50 years of Maaza® serving India with its taste of aam. Since its launch in 1976, Maaza® has deeply woven itself with India’s love for mangoes, building on strong legacy of great taste, childhood nostalgia & moments that feel distinctly Indian.

For five decades, Maaza® has remained a familiar presence across generations, from summer afternoons and family gatherings to small everyday celebrations. Over time, the brand has evolved beyond being just a beverage to becoming synonymous with the indulgence of a homegrown mango that continues to feel both comforting and memorable.

As Maaza® marks this milestone year, the celebration extends beyond the brand’s journey alone. The 50-year legacy is also a tribute to the larger ecosystem that has shaped Maaza® over the years, from the fruit of Indian farms it comes from, to the consumers who have made the brand part of their lives, and the many hands behind every sip.

Sunainika Singh, Senior Director, Marketing - Nutrition, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia said, "Maaza® has spent half a century earning a place in the lives, shelves and memories of Indians. It has been there in summer holidays and family gatherings, in post-lunch Sunday desserts and festive spreads, in moments too small to photograph but too good to forget. What makes Maaza® extraordinary is that it has remained, through every decade, completely itself: honest, indulgent, and the closest feeling to enjoying a mango experience. That trust is 50 years in the making, and it is the only foundation we need for the next 50."

Maaza® has continued to evolve with changing times while staying rooted in the taste and experience that made it a household favourite. From iconic campaigns such as ‘Taaza Mango, Maaza® Mango’ to culturally resonant campaigns like ‘Maaza® Ho Jaaye’, the brand has consistently celebrated consumers’ enduring love for mangoes and the small, deeply personal moments that shape everyday life, reinforcing the emotional connection people share with mangoes and with Maaza®.

Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, said "Maaza® has always stood for the joy of mangoes, not just as a fruit drink but as a feeling people grow up with. As we mark 50 years, it’s about celebrating that emotion and everything that brings it to life, in every sip."

Beyond campaigns, Maaza®’s relationship with mangoes begins at the orchards and farming communities behind every bottle. Through Coca-Cola India’s Project Unnati, the company has partnered with over fruit farmers across states and union territories, introducing sustainable agricultural practices including ultra-high-density plantation and drip irrigation systems that have helped improve fruit quality, increase yields, and strengthen India’s mango-growing ecosystem through a long-term grove-to-glass approach.

As Maaza® enters its second half-century, the brand remains committed to celebrating the joy, familiarity, and indulgence that have defined its journey for the last five decades. Through the year, Maaza® will celebrate mangoes through stories, experiences and moments that feel rooted in culture and everyday life, while staying true to the brand’s core identity.
