AKAI Introduces The Spa For Your Clothes Across Indian Market

* AKAI’s newly launched 5-Star Semi-Automatic Washing Machines with a quick 35-minute wash cycle, bring Japanese precision and deep clean with sheen to every home

Inspired by the Japanese Mottainai philosophy, AKAI India presents a premium lineup of Semi-Automatic Top Load Washing Machines that combine heavy-duty performance, eco-friendly efficiency, and elegant aesthetics. The new AKAI Magic Wash feature ensures that the wash cycle completes in 35 minutes with soak function ensuring complete and quick laundry care.

Leading Japanese consumer electronics brand, AKAI India has rolled out their latest line-up of Semi-Automatic washing machines. Themed ‘The Spa for your Clothes’, this new range addresses the gap between heavy-duty endurance and premium fabric care. With this launch, AKAI has leaned heavily into its cultural roots to solve modern problems of Indian households.

With added capacities and pulsator technologies, the new range now runs from 7 kg to 14 kg, built around a simple idea: a wash shouldn't waste water, electricity, or the machine itself.

Sold under AKAI's “The Spa for Your Clothes” positioning, the line-up is meant to cover a wide range of households, from young couples buying their first machine to larger joint families who need more capacity. Rather than compete on over bloated features which consumers seldom use, AKAI is leaning into low running costs and machines built to last.

KEY FEATURES*

The biggest change in the new range sits at the drum level. AKAI has spread five distinct pulsator technologies across its semi-automatic models:

x5 Wing Pulsator — the entry-level option across the full 7 kg to 14 kg range, running Normal and Gentle cycles, with a third Strong mode added on the higher-capacity models

Dual Force Pulsator — fitted on select models, built for households running heavier loads day to day

Active Flow 360° — drives AKAI's “Magic Wash,” a 35-minute cycle with a built-in soak function, on select models

Jumbo Pulsator — a three-program wash (Normal, Gentle, Strong) on the 8.5 kg glass-lid range, with an electronic timer that runs up to 40 minutes

Spiral Pulsator and Roller Pulsator — round out the 8.5 kg and 10.5 kg tiers respectively, each with a water selector and multiple wash programs

At the top of the range, the 11 kg model introduces a stainless-steel wash-and-spin tub — a first for AKAI's semi-automatic line.

BUILT TO LAST, NOT TO BE THROWN OUT

Every model in the range, whatever its capacity, shares the same protective build: an anti-rat mesh guarding the wiring, a rust-proof body, and thermal protection for the wash motor. AKAI backs this with a five-year warranty on the wash motor and a 5-star energy rating across the range — making longevity, rather than replacement, the core pitch.

Most capacities also come with soft-closing lids (on 7.5 kg glass-lid models and above), castor wheels for easy movement, a collar scrubber and magic filter for lint and dirt, and either a single or dual water inlet, depending on the model.

“We design our products with the Japanese idea of Mottainai — which is about respecting resources and minimizing waste. Our new 5-Star Semi-Automatic washing machines are an expression of that belief. While our machines help save water and electricity with the 35-Minute Magic Wash, the products themselves are built for long term durability with features like thermal motor protection and rust-proof bodies. ‘The Spa for your Clothes’ is our way of offering sustainable value that respects the environment and the needs of the Indian consumer.” — Anurag Sharma, MD & CEO, AKAI India

AKAI INDIA SERVICE ASSURANCE

AKAI backs the range with a nationwide network of 1,200+ service centres across 28 states, keeping support within reach long after purchase.

Axis Bank's Latest 'Open' Campaign Asks What Happens When Customers Get Used To Better Experiences

* New campaign ‘open’ ki aadat pad jaayegi brings alive the flexibility, personalization, convenience and control offered by the Bank’s ‘open’ app through seven relatable films

Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, today unveiled ‘open’ ki aadat pad jaayegi, the next chapter in the evolution of ‘open’, the Bank’s digital banking proposition. Moving beyond product-led storytelling, the campaign explores how intuitive digital experiences built around convenience, personalization and control can shape customer expectations, influence behaviour and become an integral part of everyday life.

Introduced in 2023 as part of Axis Bank's Axis 2.0 transformation journey, 'open' marked a significant step in the Bank's digital banking evolution. While Open 2023 focused on showcasing what the platform could do, 'open' ki aadat pad jaayegi represents the next leap in the brand's evolution, shifting the narrative from features and functionality to the impact they have on customers' everyday lives. The campaign explores how convenience, personalization and control become second nature, reinforcing the promise of 'Dil Se Open, 24x7'.

Each film follows the protagonist seeking the same convenience, personalization and control she enjoys on the 'open' app to other areas of life, highlighting how great digital experiences shape expectations beyond banking. The stories culminate in the question, "Agar mera bank aisa kar sakta hai, toh aap kyun nahi?", followed by the sign-off, "Aadat toh padegi na?"

Across the seven films, the campaign showcases some of the app's key capabilities, including multi-bank account aggregation, investment and loan management, spend insights, card controls, Mobile App Code, Safety Centre and FD Lock.

Seven Films, One Simple Question: ‘Agar Mera Bank Aisa Kar Sakta Hai, Toh Aap Kyun Nahi?’

The campaign comes alive through seven distinct stories, each illustrating how the convenience, control and flexibility offered by ‘open’ from Axis Bank influences daily habits beyond banking.

One View, Many Banks: Set at an airport check-in counter, the protagonist expects one airline to provide information about flights booked with other airlines. The interaction mirrors the convenience of the One View feature on the ‘open’ app, which allows customers to access details of multiple bank accounts through the ‘open’ app.

Everything in One Place: In a shoe store, the protagonist searches for sneakers that can serve multiple purposes, from walking and running to gym workouts. The film draws a parallel with the ‘open’ app’s ability to bring together investments, loans, deposits and payments within one integrated experience.

Knowing Where Your Money Goes: At a gym membership counter, the protagonist requests a detailed breakdown of usage and spends across individual fitness equipment. The story highlights the Spend Analyser feature, which helps customers track spending patterns across categories on a real time basis.

Control, Your Way: At a luxury hotel, the protagonist attempts to customise every aspect of her stay, from changing room features to adjusting amenities and views to suit her preferences. The film reflects the control customers enjoy over their cards through the ‘open’ app, including managing limits, changing PINs and blocking cards instantly when required.

Link: https://youtu.be/KDYOMqq1AOk

Security in Your Hands: At a diagnostic centre, the protagonist questions why sensitive reports rely on SMS-based OTPs when stronger security measures are possible. The film showcases Mobile App Code, enabling customers to securely self-generate authentication codes directly within the app.

Link: https://youtu.be/9vCm-IfvBPw

Safety Beyond Transactions: In a scuba diving school, the protagonist probes the instructor about advanced safety controls and contingency measures, questioning whether critical safety features can be turned on whenever needed. The narrative brings alive the Safety Centre feature on the 'open' app, which gives customers greater control over key banking functions, including Funds Transfer, UPI and SMS Blocks. By enabling customers to switch critical features on or off as required, the Safety Centre adds an additional layer of protection against fraud and empowers users to manage their banking security with confidence.

Link: https://youtu.be/eNWHkl1O4Ec

Protection Against Fraud Pressure: In a locker store, the protagonist redefines what security truly means by asking a simple question: what happens when access is given under pressure rather than stolen? The film brings alive FD Lock, a feature designed to safeguard fixed deposits by restricting withdrawals only at the branch, adding an extra layer of protection against increasingly sophisticated digital fraud.

Sameer Shetty, Group Head – Digital Business, Transformation & Strategic Programs, Axis Bank, said, “As banking becomes increasingly embedded in customers' daily lives, digital experiences are emerging as a key differentiator. At Axis Bank, we are focused on building intelligent, secure and customer-centric capabilities that give customers greater visibility, flexibility and control over their financial journeys. Through 'open', we are not just digitizing banking interactions but reimagining how customers engage with their bank. The campaign brings this vision to life by demonstrating how a superior digital experience can influence behaviour, elevate expectations and strengthen customer engagement."

Commenting on the campaign, Anoop Manohar, Chief Marketing Officer, Axis Bank, said, " At the heart of ‘open’ ki aadat pad jaayegi is a simple observation. Once customers get used to a certain level of convenience, personalization and control, they naturally begin to expect it across every interaction. Through relatable stories and humour, the campaign brings this insight to life. It also showcases how the ‘open’ app helps customers navigate their financial lives with greater confidence, convenience and control through intuitive, secure and customer-centric banking.”

The campaign has been conceptualised and executed in partnership with Curativity, the creative agency behind the ‘open ki aadat pad jaayegi’ campaign.

Aarti Srinivasan, CCO, Curativity, said, “When the Axis team showed us all the brilliant things the open app could do, our first thought was: with an app this damn good, how do we make the advertising match up? The idea- what if we took some of the world’s best experiences and had a little fun with how they don't seem quite good enough once you’ve got used to open? A big shout-out to Altamash Jaleel, our Creative Director, for the many rewrites and laughs along the way. And, most importantly, to our partners at Axis Bank for guiding us through the process and helping us take something as feature heavy as a banking app and make it feel this human."

The campaign will be rolled out across TV, digital, social and integrated media platforms nationwide. Through relatable storytelling rooted in everyday situations, the campaign reinforces Axis Bank's belief that when digital journeys deliver greater convenience, control and security, they don't just meet expectations, they redefine them.

Nielsen Accelerates Streaming Data Delivery With Enhancements To Streaming Content Ratings

Enabling the Real-Time Enterprise with Data Streaming | TDWI
* Streaming Content Ratings (SCR) Data Shifts to Daily Delivery Cadence, Mirroring Linear TV Data Availability

*  Nielsen Also Accelerates Streaming Top 10 Reporting by Two Weeks

Nielsen has announced significant enhancements to its Streaming Content Ratings (SCR) product, which accelerates data deliveries from a once-weekly reporting cadence to a daily cadence. Clients can now access viewership insights faster, enabling more timely strategic decision-making in an increasingly competitive media landscape.

With this update, Nielsen has reduced SCR data delivery time by up to 80%. Clients now receive data, delivered each business day, for viewing that occurred two days prior. This acceleration aligns streaming insights with the reporting speed of linear TV, providing a much more unified measurement narrative.

“While Nielsen has made a number of material improvements to streaming measurement over the years that have broadened and deepened platform and program coverage, this may be the most significant enhancement to Streaming Content Ratings since its launch in 2017,” said Brian Fuhrer, Senior Vice President, Product Strategy and Thought Leadership. “As the speed of change across the media landscape increases, providing our clients with more immediate, up-to-date audience data helps them keep pace with the consumer.”

In addition to daily SCR data for clients, the product enhancements also allow Nielsen to accelerate the delivery of its weekly Streaming Top 10 reports, cutting the reporting delay in half. Nielsen expects to publish its first accelerated Top 10 on September 17, 2026, reporting the 08/31/26 – 09/06/26 measurement interval.

These latest enhancements build on Nielsen’s ongoing commitment to providing the marketplace with unrivaled, comprehensive audience insights across the media landscape. In recent years, Nielsen has made significant advancements to expand its audience measurement capabilities. Recent innovations include: National TV measurement enhancements featuring expanded co-viewing insights; broad marketplace adoption of Big Data + Panel measurement in 2025; first-party data integrations powering live streaming measurement; and a nationwide expansion of out-of-home measurement. Nielsen also continues to serve as the industry standard for streaming intelligence through essential industry benchmarks including The Gauge and the weekly Streaming Top 10 rankings.

Exponent Energy Captures 20% Of The City’s EV 3-Wheeler Market

* Completes 200 EV Retrofits Of ICE Autorickshaws In Bengaluru

* Exponent Energy celebrates the OTO driver community at its Bengaluru facility, marking this milestone in the OTO retrofit journey

Exponent Energy, a Bengaluru-based energy company, has completed 200 EV retrofits of ICE autorickshaws in Bengaluru as part of a four-month pilot through its Exponent OTO platform, as it aims to expand its retrofitment offering across key cities in India.

In just one city, the retrofitted vehicles have covered 1.5Mn+ km and completed 25,000+ charging sessions so far, offering a real-world proof point for the use of EV retrofits in intensive commercial operations. The company has also captured a 20% share of the city’s e-3 wheeler market, reflecting growing demand for electric commercial mobility and Exponent’s rapid-charging technology.

Exponent OTO is Exponent's 3-wheeler mobility platform that brings together best-in-class battery technology, powertrain systems, and vehicle software to enable the electrification of both existing and new commercial 3-wheelers. For existing vehicles, OTO enables ICE 3-wheelers to be retrofitted to electric. For new vehicles, Exponent is now working with OEM partners to integrate their mobility platform into new electric 3-wheelers. The retrofit process can be completed in 24 hours, enabling a quick transition to electric with minimal disruption to drivers’ daily operations. OTO combines 15-minute 0-100% rapid charging with a 140-150 km real-world range and is backed by a 5-year or 3,000-cycle warranty, providing the performance and reliability required for intensive commercial use.

Commenting on the milestone, Ayush Bhargava, Head of Business, Exponent Energy, said, “The 200 retrofits in Bengaluru show that there is a real opportunity to electrify the vehicles already on the road, rather than waiting for them to be replaced. For drivers, the retrofit model offers a more accessible path to EVs while allowing them to continue with the vehicle and service ecosystem they already know. With each increasing kilometer being covered by these retrofit vehicles on road, we are assured that this can work in the real world.”

The path to electrification cannot be based on new vehicle sales alone. With India’s existing commercial vehicle base nearly 10x the new-vehicle market, electrifying vehicles already on the road will be critical to accelerating the transition while reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels and strengthening energy security.

This is particularly relevant for commercial 3-wheelers, which are used intensively every day. Retrofitting offers a practical pathway to bring these vehicles into the electric ecosystem without waiting for replacement, helping accelerate commercial electrification while reducing the upfront cost and disruption of switching to a new vehicle.

To address the upfront cost of this transition, Exponent ONE, Exponent Energy’s EV financing platform, enables financing for the OTO retrofit kit. By reducing the initial capital requirement, the platform is designed to make EV adoption more accessible to commercial drivers and support a stronger economic case for the transition.

Designed for the demands of commercial driving, OTO helps drivers minimise charging downtime and maximise time on the road. At the same time, its interoperability with standard public and home charging infrastructure gives drivers the flexibility to charge beyond the Exponent network. Since Exponent Energy’s founding in 2020, the company has scaled its technology across India, with 3,500+ EVs powered by Exponent, 200+ charging stations, 2Mn+ rapid charging sessions completed, and over 100Mn+ kilometers covered.

About Exponent Energy:

Exponent Energy, founded in 2020, is a Bengaluru-based full-stack energy company enabling safe and rapid charging for commercial EVs. The proprietary platform combines the battery pack, pump, and connector to deliver full charge in 15 minutes and a 3,000 cycle life warranty for EVs (a new industry standard). With a mission to make electric the better energy choice, Exponent’s stack seamlessly integrates to deliver a holistic charging ecosystem. Its technology, built on standard lithium-ion cells, is scalable and adaptable across multiple commercial vehicle categories.

Exponent has so far raised a total of $65.7 Million in Pre-series A, Series A and B led by Lightspeed, Eight Roads Ventures, TDK Ventures, 360 One, Hitachi Ventures (HV) Fund, YourNest VC, 3one4 Capital, AdvantEdge VC, and the family office of Dr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman & CEO of Hero MotoCorp.
