Hitachi Vantara Expands Hitachi iQ Capabilities To Help Enterprises Advance Responsible Agentic AI

* Expanded AI blueprints, infrastructure capabilities and intelligent data integration strengthen the Hitachi iQ portfolio for secure, on-prem production AI

Hitachi Vantara, the data storage, infrastructure and hybrid cloud management subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced new capabilities across the Hitachi iQ portfolio, including enhanced AI blueprints and multi-agent coordination in Hitachi iQ Studio, expanded NVIDIA AI infrastructure options, and deeper data integration to support agentic AI in on-premises and virtualized environments. Together, these enhancements position Hitachi iQ as a comprehensive, enterprise-ready AI solution, enabling customers to build and manage AI agents within their own environments.

For more information about Hitachi iQ, visit:

https://www.hitachivantara.com/en-us/solutions/ai-analytics/hitachi-iq

As organizations move from AI experimentation to scaled deployment, many are facing growing challenges tied to data complexity, AI sovereignty and evolving governance and security requirements. According to a recent report, in the U.S. and Canada, only 42% of organizations are considered data-mature, and 84% of those organizations report measurable AI ROI, compared with just 48% of organizations with weaker data foundations. As AI moves into production, the ability to pair strong data practices with secure, well-governed infrastructure is becoming a critical differentiator. The Hitachi iQ portfolio is designed to help close that gap by bringing together AI-ready infrastructure, integrated agent capabilities and enterprise-grade oversight and compliance controls designed for responsible enterprise AI deployments.

“AI is moving into production faster than many organizations’ data foundations are ready to support,” said Octavian Tanase, chief product officer, Hitachi Vantara. “With these latest enhancements to the Hitachi iQ portfolio, we are expanding across software innovation, high-performance infrastructure and intelligent data integration to give customers greater flexibility and control as they move agentic AI from pilot to production.”

New Accelerated Computing Options for Modern AI Workloads

Hitachi iQ is designed to help enterprises deploy and operate AI infrastructure with predictable performance and reliability, built on Hitachi Vantara’s Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One) data platform and supporting HMAX by Hitachi, a suite of next-generation solutions that brings the power of AI to social infrastructure. Hitachi iQ now supports NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs (air-cooled), NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs (air-cooled and liquid-cooled) and a 2U NVIDIA MGX-based system with up to four NVIDIA RTX PRO™6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. Hitachi iQ also plans to support the newly announced NVIDIA RTX PRO™ 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPU. These options give customers greater flexibility to align compute with their AI workloads – from model development and fine-tuning to inference and agentic applications – while supporting diverse form factors that address cooling, power and space constraints and meet enterprise requirements for security, resilience and production readiness.

Hitachi iQ integrates accelerated computing, networking and storage into a validated infrastructure stack. It is built to keep data close to compute, helping improve utilization and efficiency for data-intensive AI workloads.

New AI Blueprints and Data Orchestration in Hitachi iQ Studio

Hitachi iQ Studio, the AI software component of the Hitachi iQ portfolio, enables organizations to design, deploy and govern AI agents within secure enterprise environments. Built on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, it now includes expanded AI blueprints and multi-agent coordination capabilities that help teams move from prototype to production with greater clarity and control.

The new blueprints introduce defined agent roles, including supervisor and worker models. Worker agents execute tasks while supervisor agents coordinate multi-agent workflows and adapt based on outcomes. This structured orchestration helps organizations automate complex processes while maintaining visibility, efficiency and governance.

Hitachi iQ Studio also expands support for NVIDIA Nemotron models, large language models designed to power advanced, tool-using agentic AI systems, and introduces time machine capabilities that enable AI systems to navigate historical datasets with context and speed. This time-aware intelligence strengthens explainability and supports industries that rely on long-term data patterns to inform decisions.

“As enterprises continue to scale AI, the ability to combine accelerated computing with consistent software and trusted data becomes essential,” said Jason Hardy, vice president of storage technologies, NVIDIA. “Full-stack AI infrastructure optimized for enterprise demand enables organizations to support a wider range of AI outcomes while maintaining the performance, governance, and operational consistency enterprises require.”

Expanded Hammerspace Capabilities to Simplify, Automate and Accelerate Data Access

Building on their strategic partnership, Hitachi iQ delivers tighter integration between Hitachi iQ Studio and Hammerspace to streamline data access for agent-driven workflows. With this expanded capability, data managed by Hammerspace can be accessed directly within Hitachi iQ Studio using Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI systems to securely connect to external data sources.

This enables customers to build AI agents in Hitachi iQ Studio that can securely work with and help manage their Hammerspace data environments, extending automation and insight directly to distributed data without requiring relocation. Data remains governed and protected within VSP One, helping maintain availability and consistent performance as agents operate across environments.

This deeper integration improves data observability and simplifies access to distributed datasets without adding infrastructure complexity, allowing AI agents to work with in-place data across environments without unnecessary data movement. The result is a stronger connection between data orchestration and agent coordination, supported by VSP One Block infrastructure to deliver consistent performance and 100% data availability while preserving hybrid cloud flexibility for enterprise AI.

Accelerating AI Storage

Hitachi Vantara will also be supporting the newly announced NVIDIA STX reference architecture to develop AI-native storage solutions powered by NVIDIA Vera Rubin, BlueField-4, Spectrum-X networking, and NVIDIA AI software.

Hitachi Vantara will showcase Hitachi iQ and Hitachi iQ Studio at NVIDIA GTC 2026, taking place March 16-19 in San Jose, California. Attendees can explore how Hitachi iQ simplifies and advances agentic AI development across industries. Bengaluru Campus Leads 33rd Foundation Day Celebrations As IIHM Alumni Chart The Future Of Hospitality

Sanchari Chowdhury, Director, IIHM Bangalore, joins Founder Dr. Suborno Bose to unveil a new chapter of ‘TransformAItion’—driven by High Tech & anchored in Higher Touch

The Bengaluru campus of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) became the vibrant epicenter of celebrations for the institution’s 33rd Foundation Day on Saturday. The event was marked by a powerful tribute to the people who define IIHM’s legacy—its global alumni network.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sanchari Chowdhury, Director of IIHM Bangalore, remarked, "Our Bengaluru campus has always been a cradle for innovation and excellence. Seeing our alumni return from across the globe to inspire the current batch is a testament to the lifelong bond we nurture here. At IIHM Bangalore, we aren't just teaching hospitality; we are shaping the future leaders who will balance the efficiency of technology with the warmth of the human touch."

The institution today represents a vibrant global community of over 30,000 alumni, students, faculty members, and hospitality professionals. The highlight of the two-day celebrations was the IIHM Alumni Leadership Conclave, a unique global conversation where alumni working across the world joined students and faculty to reflect on their journeys from IIHM classrooms to leadership roles in the hospitality industry.

From luxury hotels in London and Japan to hospitality enterprises in Canada, Dubai, Australia, and New Zealand, alumni shared insights, experiences, and advice with the next generation—reinforcing the enduring bond between the institution and its global community.

In his Foundation Day address, IIHM Founder and Chairman Dr. Suborno Bose reminded the gathering that an institution’s true strength lies in its alumni.

“IIHM today stands on the achievements of thousands of alumni across the world. Wherever you go—from Singapore to San Francisco—you will find IIHM graduates flourishing and leading the hospitality industry,” he said.

Alumni Journeys: From Classrooms to Global Leadership:

The conclave brought together international alumni whose careers reflect the global reach of the institution. Alok Dixit, General Manager at the Marriott in London’s Grosvenor Square, spoke about the values that shaped his journey.

“Hospitality is one of the most beautiful industries because it brings together people from every discipline. But success ultimately comes down to discipline and integrity,” he noted.

From Japan, Vikas Kumar, Assistant Director of Rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Nikko, emphasized the human element. “Guests return not just because of the property, but because of the people. It is the way we make them feel that creates guests for life,” he said.

The Future: AI with Emotional Intelligence:

Harsh Gurnani, Cluster Revenue Manager at Hilton in Japan, noted that the future of hospitality will combine artificial intelligence with human emotional intelligence. He praised IIHM for introducing students early to the role of AI through initiatives like NamAIste – HospitalityGPT, a generative AI knowledge platform.

Debottam Chakravarti, a hospitality academic in New Zealand, shared the importance of humility: “I started my career as a cleaner in the UK. Every step in the journey matters. Respect every job, learn it deeply, and keep moving forward.”

Bhavik Jani, teaching in Australia, and Alpa Pandorya, Senior Bartender at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in Dubai, both echoed the sentiment that empathy remains the core skill of the trade, regardless of technological shifts.

Recognizing Excellence:

To honor these journeys, Dr. Suborno Bose announced two prestigious awards:

The IIHM Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award: Celebrating those in positions of global influence.

The IIHM Recognition of Excellence in Hospitality Award: Honoring professionals whose work inspires the next generation.

Vision 2026: High Tech, Higher Touch

Dr. Bose declared 2026 as the year of “TransformAItion” at IIHM. While technology improves efficiency, the core philosophy remains “High Tech, Higher Touch.”

In a giant stride toward building future leaders, Dr. Bose also announced the IIHM Future Leaders Programme. The first batch of inductees, chosen from mid-level faculty and staff, will be groomed to lead the institution into its next decade of global excellence.

Whitefield Art Collective Inaugurates Its 9th Edition Of The Month-Long Public Art Festival In Bengaluru

The 9th edition of Whitefield Art Collective takes place from 13th March to 12th April 2026, at VR Bengaluru, with the theme “Tomorrow, Altered!”

The Whitefield Art Collective, supported by the Yuj Foundation, commenced its ninth edition on March 13, 2026, beginning a month-long public art festival themed ‘Tomorrow, Altered!’. Environmentalist and Grammy Award winning music composer, Ricky Kej (recipient of the Padma Shri 2025) inaugurated the festival with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and unveiling of the ‘Kala Car’. The inauguration was followed by an exclusive viewing of the art installations across VR Bengaluru. The evening featured a live musical concert by Ricky Kej and a wearable art fashion show titled ‘A Rose for Khadi’.

Over 300 installations, sculptures, paintings, and photographs are displayed at the festival. The installations are by students of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Vogue Institute of Art & Design, Bangalore University, and JD Institute of Design. This year’s Kala Car features a special collaboration in which a TESLA has been transformed by artists into a moving canvas of contemporary expression, bringing together art, technology, and sustainability in a unique way.

Over the next month, VR Bengaluru will transform into a hub for artistic programming, with installations, fine art, photography exhibitions, music, art cinema, workshops, young artists competition, and an artisanal bazaar.

This edition features a series of significant collaborations, each contributing to the festival’s broader vision. In partnership with UNESCO, the festival presents ‘Pockets of Hope’, a photography exhibition that draws attention to marine ecosystems, their ecological value, and the growing pressures they face.

Diverse artworks including paintings from Gita Hudson's ‘Cinema Reimagined’ series and German artist Nele Martens’ ‘Elements’ offer unique perspectives. Re:Reading Bangalore, an exhibition by the MOD Foundation, reinterprets the city through archives, maps, books, and visual narratives, with large suspended archival maps offering visitors a visual exploration of Bengaluru’s layered history. Complementing this is Bengaluru in Focus, a photography competition that features works by both established and amateur photographers. The competition received over 2,000 entries, of which 150 selected photographs are on display, presenting varied perspectives on the city and its evolving urban landscape.

A key highlight at the festival is an artwork that presents four interpretations of the same visual idea, two displayed as digital prints and two reinterpreted on canvas, allowing viewers to see how an AI generated image transforms when translated into paint. Inspired by pointillism, where individual dots form an image much like pixels, the work explores the relationship between digital creation and traditional painting. Created by students from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, the artwork originates from an original painting by artist Mansi Pipaliya, which served as the conceptual source for four AI generated variations.

“The Whitefield Art Collective is rooted in the deep cultural foundations of Karnataka and the creative energy of Bengaluru, contributing to a vibrant ecosystem where artists, institutions, and communities engage with contemporary ideas. Over the past nine years, the art festival has created significant local impact, strengthening community pride and supporting the city’s creative economy. As the Whitefield Art Collective evolves, the focus remains on encouraging experimentation across disciplines, mediums, materials, and technologies, alongside sustainable practices and new formats that respond to the changing world around us. Through sustained collaborations and a commitment to nurturing student artists, the Whitefield Art Collective continues to grow as a platform for public art, cultural dialogue, and community engagement in Bengaluru,” said Sumi Gupta, curator of the Whitefield Art Collective.

“Climate resilience begins with climate literacy. Empowered communities are built on understanding, and understanding grows through shared stories and accessible knowledge. ‘Pockets of Hope’ is a new illustrated book project by UNESCO that brings to life the World Network of Biosphere Reserves, with its terrestrial, coastal, and marine ecosystems, and the communities who call them home. Through its photography exhibition at Whitefield Art Collective and an illustrated journey across all Biosphere Reserves in South and Central Asia, ‘Pockets of Hope’ highlights the urgency of responsible ecosystem management and conservation. By placing science and nature within cultural spaces, public art becomes a bridge, expanding participation, deepening awareness, and inspiring more informed and collective climate action,” said Dr. Benno Böer, Chief, Natural Sciences Unit, UNESCO Regional Office for South Asia.

Throughout the month, the festival will feature a range of activities celebrating different art forms. The Whitefield Literary Society will curate literary sessions for book lovers, creating opportunities to engage with writers, ideas, and the world of words. The Young Artists Program will offer students a platform to experiment, learn, and express themselves across a range of artistic mediums.

Khadi takes a bold, contemporary turn at the Whitefield Art Collective. The collection by Reves La Veste and Reves Art Gallery, curated by Prasad Bidapa, with Ricky Kej as the showstopper, reimagines khadi through a contemporary lens. The fashion walk reflects the evolving possibilities of sustainable fashion, bringing together artistic expression and thoughtful design.

The festival brings together a diverse mix of artistic expressions, talent, and creative projects. With participation from local artisans, the Art Bazaar will showcase traditional and contemporary crafts, focusing on sustainable, handmade and locally crafted products. Cyanotype and clay modelling workshops will engage visitors of all ages through interactive experiences.

The Whitefield Art Collective has partnered with Caring with Colour, a not-for-profit initiative that is working towards improving the quality of education in schools through introducing experiential learning in classrooms. Building on its collaboration with Art Reach, the Whitefield Art Collective has also launched a three year programme aimed at creating sustained creative engagement for children from marginalised and underserved communities. Shaped by participant needs, local context, and the festival’s curatorial theme, the programme will use hands on learning to develop foundational art skills and self-expression, with participating children presenting their works and creative process at the festival. Together, these engagements extend the Whitefield Art Collective’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young participants to engage with art and share their perspectives within the festival framework.

The ninth edition of Whitefield Art Collective is made possible through collaborations with TESLA, MOD Foundation, Art Reach, Million Dreams, Paint Café, Flea 080, AKAB Innovation, Reves La Veste, Reves Art Gallery, Gita Hudson, Crossword, PVR, The Whitefield Arms and The Waverly Hotels & Residences.

The Whitefield Art Collective, established in 2016, is a vibrant showcase of the diverse creative expressions, thought-provoking collaborations, and engaging experiences. By transforming public spaces into dynamic art hubs, the festival highlights its commitment to making art more accessible while celebrating Bengaluru’s cultural identity.

The festival has drawn over 2.5 million visitors. It is supported by The Yuj Foundation and is also part of VR Bengaluru’s Connecting Communities© initiative that aims to encourage civic pride, strengthen the local economy, and enhance the city’s national and international image.
