Jugnoo Updating its iOS App - Jugnoo & Integrates it Services with SIRI

Ensued by Apple’s inviting move, welcoming third party apps to integrate with Siri, Jugnoo integrates with the popular iPhone voice assistant, making auto booking easier than ever before. Updating its iOS app, Jugnoo patrons can now rest their geeky fingers and simply say "Hey Siri, book an auto with Jugnoo app" to book the auto-rickshaws. This is an attempt to reinstate amongst all Jugnoo iOS users that booking a ride is not a dull process.

Talking about Jugnoo’s past initiatives on various platforms, Samar Singla, Founder and CEO Jugnoo said, “Last month we introduced Jugnoo Bot in integration with Facebook messenger that increased our traction by over 10%. It was an effort to give our users choices instead of imposing our app on them to book autos. Integration with ‘Siri’ The Personal Digital Assistant of Apple", was also inspired by similar line of thoughts of giving our users options, while making the booking process easier. No more fiddling with the phone to book an auto, as auto-rickshaws are just a shout away!”

The feature will be available for all iOS 10 iPhones. Furthering its move, Jugnoo is also working towards getting a similar feature for the Android and Windows phones as well. With this launch, Jugnoo once again established that innovation is the way forward in the company.

By Manu Sharma
Owing to increasing demand for recreations for the skilled tech manpower from the multinational companies (MNCs) in the Hardware Park, Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and other Business Parks emerging near Devanahalli, the BCV Developers Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture of Brigade Enterprises Ltd., Classic Group and Valmark have launched its latest lifestyle club ‘Signature Club Resort’ at Brigade Orchards, a 130 acre smart township in Devanahalli.

The club was inaugurated by R.V Deshpande, Minister of Industries and Infrastructure, along with Pilla Munishamappa, MLA - Devanahalli; Signature Club Resort will be managed by Brigade Hospitality that is set to revolutionize the hospitality landscape in Bengaluru by introducing the ‘Club Resort’ concept to the city.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Deshpande said, "Considering the club location so close to the airport, I must say that this area is a gold mine for the real estate as well as the industrial sectors. In fact, Devanahalli historically is the birth place of Tipu Sultan but has very little to offer to the tourists. But realizing the future opportunities, Brigade Group has come out with this club to tap on the large tech manpower who will need a self sustained township with all amenities and recreation north of the city. We will also have a dedicated metro route to the airport and even sort out the chocking traffic jams near Hebbal flyover and other places shortly."

Jaishankar, CMD Brigade Enterprises Limited said,  “Most of the major clubs are located with in the city and North Bangalore has very little to offer presently. Our Signature Club will a home away from home. With so many technology and business parks emerging here in North Bangalore and the city being out of their reach mainly due to the traffic problems, our club will cater to the large community living near Devanahalli."

Located on a 130 acres of township – Brigade Orchards, an integrated enclave which is soon going to be a smart township with 100 premium villa, about 3500 residential apartments, 160 senior residences. "We have tie ups with great organizations to facilitate the various requirements like Help Age India for the senior residences. We also have a sports stadium which is built on international standards and facilitates sports like cricket, tennis, Olympic style pool etc," adds Jaishankar.

Signature Club Resort i
s composed of 45 executive rooms and suites with amenities that suit both business and leisure travellers. The Signature Club Resort's boasts of a restaurant, a cafe and a lounge bar (Tamarind, Courtyard Cafe and Pavilion Bar), besides various sporting facilities for guests and members in the form of two badminton courts, lawn tennis court, billiards and pool tables, a squash court, a swimming pool, a yoga terrace and gym. A spa is also on the anvil.

Brigade Orchards also has 70+ acres of open spaces covered by lawns, parks and unique spaces like Equestrian park and dog park with professionally managed kennels. Being only 15 minutes away from the park makes this destination a home away from home. The international concept – Aerotropolis, which means a city is where the airport is located, is what we wish to adopt with this integrated enclave, he said.

Brigade Orchards has been designed the finest architects. It’s a joint effort – with the NBBJ from Seattle behind the conceptualization with various other Indian architects. SCR has been designed by Ochre architects and is a project led by Brigade group and managed by Brigade Hospitality.”

Should Data Analysts Earn Much More Salaries than IT Engineers?

Difficult screening and a higher cut-off benchmark explain why data analysts earn more than software engineers at a fresher level, according to a report.

"Data analysts are earning more than software engineers, which indicates that demand-supply gap is higher in the case of the former. Compared to roles in IT services, companies evaluate candidates for analytical roles through assessments that have higher difficulty and cut-off benchmarks," says the report put together by CoCubes Technologies.

CoCubes Technologies analysed results of 43,000 assessments conducted for top analytic companies in the country over the last 12 months and collated the report titled 'Guidebook for Hiring Entry Level Analytics Talent'.

It shows that data analysts at the fresher level are drawing an average annual salary of Rs 7 lakh as against Rs 3.2 lakh for software engineers.

And this figure can go up to Rs 10 lakh, depending on the job profile and fringe benefits being offered.

As per the report, companies are side-stepping tier 1 colleges and approaching tier 2 and 3 institutes to hire data analysts to ensure the new recruits stay with them longer.

According to the report, there are jobs in data analysis which don't require high cognitive abilities and client interaction and have more to do with data management and data warehousing.

"This is resulting in a re-look at hiring strategy as such roles see high attrition if candidates are from tier 1 colleges. Multiple companies have, therefore, started looking at tier 2 and 3 colleges to map the right talent for jobs which don't require a high cognitive ability," it added.

As per the report, companies are also adopting up-skilling strategy for the existing talent to meet their work necessities instead of hiring people from outside.

"Over the last one year, a re-skilling approach has emerged in which firms are looking at internal resources and up-skilling them for client and skill requirement rather than finding new resources with the existing knowledge," it said.

The analytics industry in India is expected to double its turnover to USD 2.3 billion by 2017-18, CoCubes Technologies Co-Founder and CEO Harpreet Singh Grover said.

"One of the key challenges in harnessing this opportunity is creation, development and retention of analytics talent," he emphasised.
