Tata Power, one of India’s leading EV charging networks expanded their network with a 60-kW DC Fast Charging Station at Coastal Paradise, Sasthan, located along National Highway 66 (NH-66) in Udupi district. The new station strengthens fast-charging access for commercial fleets, business travellers, and tourists using Karnataka's key coastal highway.
Positioned on one of India's most important coastal highways, the charging station is designed to support both commercial mobility and leisure travel. NH-66 serves as a vital economic corridor connecting the commercial, port, and educational hubs of Mangalore and Manipal to Goa, while also being a preferred route for tourists exploring Karnataka's scenic coastline.
The newly commissioned 60 kW dual-gun CCS2 charger offers fast, reliable, and convenient charging for EV users, enabling smooth and uninterrupted journeys for business commuters, fleet operators, and holidaymakers alike.
Key Highlights
Dual-Purpose Charging Destination: The charging station caters to a diverse range of users, from commercial fleet operators and business travellers navigating the Mangaluru–Goa corridor to leisure travellers heading towards coastal destinations. Its strategic location makes it an ideal charging stop for both work-related and recreational journeys.
Rapid Charging Capability: Equipped with a 60-kW DC dual-gun charger, the station can charge compatible electric vehicles from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, helping reduce downtime and ensuring efficient travel.
Built for Coastal Conditions: Designed to withstand the region's challenging climatic conditions, including heavy monsoons, high humidity, and saline coastal air, the charging infrastructure is engineered to deliver dependable performance and high operational uptime throughout the year.
Convenient Travel Experience: Situated at Coastal Paradise, the charging station allows EV users to enjoy a comfortable break while their vehicles recharge. Travellers can access refreshments, local cuisine, and other amenities before resuming their journey.
The commissioning of this charging station reinforces Tata Power's commitment to building a robust EV charging ecosystem and expanding high-capacity green corridors across key economic and tourism routes in South India.
