Union Bank of India achieved a significant milestone by successfully organizing its inaugural HR Conclave, “IGNITE’25 – The Human Potential Conclave,” a first-of-its-kind initiative in the banking industry. This distinguished gathering brought together HR and Learning & Development (L&D) leaders from the banking, corporate, fintech, and training ecosystems to discuss and collaborate on advancing human resource practices in the financial sector. The event aligned with the guidelines of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance) and revolved around the theme “Transforming Banking.”
The landmark two-day conclave was held on January 17th and 18th, 2025, at the IGBC-certified green campus of Union Bank Knowledge Centre, Bengaluru, under the leadership of MD & CEO, A. Manimekhalai. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Shri Sanjay Rudra, Executive Director, Union Bank of India, followed by the keynote address delivered by the Chief Guest, Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services. Shri Nagaraju emphasized the importance of collaboration through integrated training programs, interbank knowledge-sharing, and the adoption of technology to modernize and align training ecosystems with emerging needs.
Throughout the conclave, participants explored the future of human resources in banking, focusing on digital transformation, continuous learning, and fostering employee well-being to enhance customer satisfaction. The event included thought-provoking sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities that set the stage for innovative HR and L&D practices across the financial sector.
