Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, today announced Fit India Walk-a-thon ’26, a step-count challenge on the Samsung Health app that encourages personal well-being. The challenge is open to users in India who pledge towards better health this Republic Day.

Registrations open on the Samsung Health app starting January 22, 2026, with the challenge running from January 26 to February 24, 2026. Participants must complete 200000 steps within the 30-day period to qualify for rewards.

Users can track their steps throughout the challenge, while a leaderboard allows participants to monitor their progress and view their standing against competition.

Competitors who complete the 200000-step goal will enter into a lucky draw. Upon successful completion, they will receive a scratch card in the Samsung Members app under the Benefits section. Three lucky winners will receive INR 10000 Amazon gift card, and 1000 lucky winners will receive INR 500 Amazon gift card.

Fit India Walk-a-thon ’26 is part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to support healthier routines through everyday physical activity.

Air India Group Announces Season 2 Of The Air India Super League Along With Inaugural Edition For Cargo Partners


Air India, India’s leading global airline, announced Season 2 of the Air India Super League, its flagship pan-India cricket tournament for valued business partners. Building on the strong momentum and participation from its debut season, the league returns this year with an expanded format, including the inaugural Air India Super League for Cargo partners.

The Air India Super League stemmed with the goal to celebrate partnerships beyond the boardroom, bringing together our channel partners and cargo partners on a shared platform of sport.

Kochi-Muziris Biennale Adds Color To The SeasonKerala Tourism In Bengaluru

The ensuing in-bound season is expected to keep up this trend,” Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas said.

Seeking to whip up new resonance with tourists for the fast-approaching summer holiday season, Kerala Tourism will organize a string of roadshows in prominent cities of the country and also participate in leading trade fairs during January-March.

Starting with a Partnership Meet in Chennai on January 20 and in Bengaluru on January 22, Kerala Tourism will hold B2B meets in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Indore as well during the next two months to introduce its new products and experiential travel to a wider audience and increase domestic tourist footfalls.

Upcoming roadshows also coincide with the all-India Lenscape Kerala photo exhibition, to be opened by Kerala Tourism in New Delhi on January 20. The exhibition, designed as a moving platform to showcase diverse charms of Kerala, features 100 curated frames by India’s10 leading travel photographers.

Another annual cultural event of Kerala that attracts travellers during the season is the ‘Nishagandhi Dance Festival’, which will be held in February in the capital city, as a stellar cultural event featuring classical dances like Odissi, Kathakali and Bharatnatyam.

Kerala will highlight new destinations, especially those of North Kerala like Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Bekal, improved infrastructure for lesser-known spots, and activities beyond typical backwaters/beaches, targeting urban families with themes of adventure (surfing, cycling, paragliding, mountain biking), wellness (Ayurveda), luxury, and culture (destination weddings, MICE) to attract domestic travellers for the season.

Ramping up heritage tourism, the state earlier this month rolled out 33 heritage trails stretching across the state from up north Kasaragod to Kollam in the south as part of its Muziris Heritage Project.

Besides emphasizing improved facilities in emerging areas, Kerala will be projected as a safe destination.

An upswing in international bookings are also expected in the upcoming holiday season.

Kerala’s credentials as a major tourist destination got a major boost recently with the state featuring in Rough Guides’ 26 travel destinations in the world in 2026.

The state also won the Travel + Leisure India’s Best Wellness Destination Award for 2025, in a testament to its reputation for Ayurvedic traditions and holistic healing, cementing its position as a premier wellness tourism spot globally.

Kerala is internationally acclaimed for providing a variety of experiences for travel enthusiasts like houseboats, caravan stays, plantation visits, jungle resorts, homestays, Ayurveda-based wellness solutions, adventure activities and countryside walks, including trekking to verdant hills.

Alongside the new projects, the state’s core assets like beaches, hill stations, houseboats and backwater segment will heighten the totality of the visitors’ experience.

BITS Design School’s B.Des (Hons) Applications To Close On February 1, 2026


All aspiring students including those applying with NID DAT Prelim or UCEED scores are required to submit the application by the Feb 1 deadline

BITS Design School (BITSDES), a constituent of BITS Pilani, will close the application window for 2026 admissions for its third cohort of the four-year, fully residential Bachelor of Design (Honours) programme on 1st February 2026.

A total of 180 students will be admitted to the batch. Applicants can qualify through any of the following exams: NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims, UCEED, or the BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT). Those wishing to apply with NID-DAT or UCEED scores are also required to complete and submit their applications by 1 February 2026 with their NID-DAT / UCEED registration number or application numbers. The BITSDAT, a one hour long online test will be conducted from 31 March to 5 April 2026.

Only students who have submitted their applications by 1 February 2026 will be able to upload their scores when the application portal is opened between 8 April and 12 April 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will be announced on 16 April 2026, followed by portfolio uploads from 16 April to 20 April 2026, and online interviews between 4 May and 13 May 2026. Final results will be declared on 18 May 2026.

The previous cohorts represent a wide spectrum of academic backgrounds, including students from Science, Arts, Commerce streams from CBSE, ISC, State Boards, IB, and IGCSE.

Students can specialize in Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design (UI/UX), Design Research & Insights, Experience Design and Visual Design. The programme offers transdisciplinary education blending design, policy, business strategy, and emerging technologies to prepare students for evolving industry and policy needs.

BITS Design School students will have the opportunity to participate in the BITS Pilani Practice School programme from the third year onwards. The Practice School is a structured learning programme by BITS Pilani that places students in real industry environments to work on live projects under joint academic and industry mentorship, including organisations such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, NVIDIA and ISRO, among others. Third-year BITSDES students will undertake an eight week industry engagement, followed by a twenty two week immersion in their final year, making it a core part of the curriculum that connects classroom learning with hands-on professional experience before graduation.

In keeping with the institute’s vision to bring international perspectives, academic rigour, and real-world exposure to its students, BITS Design School has established collaborations with leading global institutions, including Stanford Design School, RMIT University, Arizona State University and the Cumulus Association of Design Universities.
