The 2025 ‘FZ-S Fi Hybrid’ embodies a total balanced and sophisticated design, further refined by the sharper edges on the tank cover and giving it a sleek and well-proportioned look while retaining its signature presence. A key design update includes integrated front turn signals, now positioned within the air intake area, adding to its aggressive and aerodynamic appeal.

Powering the motorcycle is a 149cc Blue Core engine, now OBD-2B compliant, equipped with Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). These technologies provide quieter starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine at idle and restarting with a quick clutch action.

Further enhancing rider convenience, the new ‘FZ-S Fi Hybrid’ introduces a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that seamlessly integrates with smartphones via the Y-Connect app. It features Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation linked to Google Maps, offering real-time directions, navigation index, intersection details, and road names, ensuring a hassle-free riding experience.

The handlebar position has been optimised for greater comfort on long rides. The switches on the handlebar have been adjusted for better accessibility, even when wearing gloves. Moreover, the horn switch has been repositioned to prioritise comfort and ease of use. The fuel tank now features an airplane-style fuel cap that remains attached during refuelling, further enhancing practicality. The new 2025 ‘FZ-S Fi Hybrid’ is being offered in two colours - Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.

Speaking at the launch of the first hybrid motorcycle in its category, Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group said, “The FZ brand has played a crucial role in Yamaha’s journey in India, evolving with every generation to meet the changing expectations and practical requirements of our customers. Coca-Cola India Foundation & MP Tourism Board Launch ‘Project Clean Destination’ In Bandhavgarh For Sustainable Waste Management

The Coca-Cola India and its Foundation, Anandana, and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board have signed an MoU to launch Project Clean Destination in Bandhavgarh, aiming to promote solid waste management over the next three years. The MoU, which aligns with the Government of India’s Responsible Tourism Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission, was executed in the presence of Sh. Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust, and Endowments.

The expansion of ‘Project Clean Destination’ in Bandhavgarh National Park builds on Coca-Cola India’s success at Panna National Park, where waste management was implemented across 30 surrounding villages. In partnership with Saahas, Coca-Cola India has engaged local communities, establishing Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and village-level storage centers to streamline waste management. The initiative also creates livelihood opportunities by training Swachh Mitras (Waste Workers) for waste collection. As part of Coca-Cola India’s flagship campaign, Maidaan Saaf, this initiative promotes source segregation, raises awareness about responsible waste practices, and fosters strong community participation for long-term impact.

Speaking on the dedication to promoting sustainable tourism and forging strong public-private partnerships in Madhya Pradesh, Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust and Endowments stated, “The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is proud to strengthen its collaboration with Anandana – The Coca-Cola India Foundation through the expansion of Project Clean Destination. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to preserving the ecological heritage of iconic sites like Panna and Bandhavgarh National Parks. By addressing waste management challenges and fostering community participation, we together aim to set new benchmarks for sustainable tourism in the state, contributing to a cleaner and greener Madhya Pradesh.”

Speaking about the initiative, Rajiv Gupta, Director – Anandana, the Coca-Cola India Foundation, said, “Project Clean Destination continues the vision we set out three years ago when we began our partnership with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board for the cleanliness of national parks, starting with Panna National Park. It reflects our commitment to responsible waste management and eco-friendly practices. By establishing an efficient waste collection and recycling system in the villages around prominent tourist sites in Madhya Pradesh, we aim to protect these vital biodiversity hotspots while empowering local communities to adopt environmentally conscious practices. This partnership is a significant step towards creating scalable models for responsible tourism in India.”

By tackling waste at its source and fostering long-term community ownership, Project Clean Destination contributes to a cleaner, greener future.

TCS Partners With The Danish Academy Of Technical Sciences To Combat Dengue Through Technology And Citizen Engagement

* Piloted in Bengaluru, the project can be implemented worldwide to combat outbreaks of dengue fever

* TCS will provide data-driven technology support to the program through its pro bono initiative, TCS TECH4HOPE

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has collaborated with the echo network, a global social innovation initiative hosted by the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV), to combat  outbreaks of dengue fever and other viral diseases. This collaboration aims to harness digital technology and citizen engagement to address pressing public health challenges.

As part of this initiative, TCS will provide technology support to echo network’s ‘I am OneHealth’ program in Bengaluru, India. Leveraging its TCS TECH4HOPE program – a pro bono initiative that provides technology solutions to non-profit organizations – TCS is driving impactful change by enabling communities to combat dengue through data-driven insights and citizen participation. The echo network is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, which supports public health and sustainability worldwide.

Torben Vedel Borchert, Scientific Director, Biotech, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Denmark, said, "It is important for us to support public health and sustainability projects globally, and since 2021 we have supported ATV's collaboration with the echo network in India. We have recently awarded a new grant for the effort in India, and we are excited to see how TCS can add an even greater local impact to the network."

TCS is at the forefront of this mission, helping local authorities with actionable insights to effectively prevent and control dengue outbreaks. Utilizing an interactive and free WhatsApp-based chatbot, the project engages school and college students to map hyperlocal environmental conditions impacting dengue transmission.

This citizen-generated data is then enriched with TCS’ advanced IT solutions that analyze humidity, temperature, and other location-specific parameters. The integrated data is transformed into real-time insights in collaboration with several Bengaluru-based organizations, contributing to a Vulnerability Index and an innovative Dengue Prevention Dashboard.

Vikram Sharma, Country Head TCS in Denmark said, "We are proud to collaborate with ATV and echo network on such an important project which not only brings the latest technology but also the citizens onboard. Through our TCS TECH4HOPE initiatives, we can draw on our own TCS colleagues from around the world to share their expertise pro bono. For this project, our colleagues from Europe as well as India are keenly involved to make it an overall success.”

Dengue, a rapidly growing health concern, is the most common mosquito-borne viral disease in many countries, including India. In 2024, the Bengaluru region alone reported over 14,000 cases. The ‘I am OneHealth’ program in collaboration with the Bengaluru Science and Technology Cluster,  an initiative by the office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India of India, unites local communities, academic institutions, and health authorities to fight viral diseases through technology and collective action. This pilot initiative in Bengaluru demonstrates TCS’ commitment to leveraging digital innovation for social good, with plans to replicate the model globally.

By fostering community engagement and providing technological expertise, TCS is committed to empowering societies to combat public health challenges and build resilient communities.

Cargill Inaugurates New Corn Milling Plant To Meet Growing Demand For Safe And High-Quality Food Solutions

* Set up on a business arrangement between Cargill and Saatvik Agro Processors, the plant will produce starch derivatives to serve the confectionery, infant formula and dairy industries

Catering to the growing demand from India’s confectionery, infant formula, and dairy sectors, Cargill inaugurated a new corn milling plant in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh set up by Saatvik Agro Processors, an Indian manufacturer.

With a combined market value of $15 billion, these sectors are witnessing high annual compounded growth rates of between 6 and 11% over next five years[1], leading to increased demand for starch derivatives which are used as thickening or stabilizing agents to achieve desired texture, viscosity and mouthfeel in consumer products like gummies, jellies, fillings, yogurt, cheese, processed milk and infant formula.

Cargill has a business arrangement with Saatvik who has established this dedicated production facility for starch derivatives with an initial output capacity of 500 tons per day, which can be expanded to 1,000 tons per day. This facility combines Cargill’s global product capabilities, customer network and market access opportunities with local manufacturing capabilities and operational know-how of the Indian partner to bring a consistent supply of safe, high-quality solutions to Cargill’s food manufacturing customers in India.

The plant will operate on an exclusive arrangement for Cargill, adhering to the company’s stringent global food safety and quality standards while also driving innovation, and process efficiencies for the industry. This further increases Cargill’s production capacity in India while creating supply chain efficiencies that food manufacturers rely on to meet growing consumer demand. The expansion will also enable Cargill to serve customers across North, Central, and Western India more effectively, reducing dependence on supply from the South, optimizing both costs and logistics.

While the facility will cater primarily to domestic demand, in future Cargill will also evaluate export opportunities to expand its market reach through this plant.

The plant was inaugurated by John Fering, Group President, Food APAC, Cargill and Simon George, President Cargill India and Managing Director Food South Asia.

Commenting on the launch, Simon George said, “This Gwalior plant allows us to strengthen our manufacturing network in India to serve customers from North and West India more competitively while enhancing supply chain efficiencies that benefit the entire food ecosystem. By increasing our access to local manufacturing capabilities, we are reducing supply timelines, increasing cost-effectiveness, and ensuring a more stable supply of essential food solutions that food manufacturers need to meet evolving consumer preferences.”

Furthermore, “this step reflects our commitment to fostering industry growth by integrating our global expertise with India’s strong manufacturing capabilities, supporting the growth of Indian entrepreneurs, ultimately creating more value for customers and consumers alike”, he added.

This initiative reflects Cargill’s ongoing commitment to be a go-to partner for innovation and growth for its customers – from food manufacturing, foodservice to retail – supporting them with essential and high-quality food ingredients and solutions, and thereby contribute to India’s growing food and beverage industry. The initiative also aligns with the ‘Make in India’ vision, fostering long-term, sustainable growth for both businesses and consumers.
