97% Of Educators In Bangalore, Delhi, And Hyderabad Eager To Integrate AI For Improved Teaching, Finds Digii Survey


Digii, India’s leading SaaS provider for Higher Education, today released a first-of-its-kind survey, titled, ‘AI-Driven Education: Maximizing the potential of AI to aid educators and enhance educational successes. The unique survey conducted amongst faculty members from higher education institutes in Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad, aimed to capture educators' perspectives on the growing role of AI in education. The findings revealed that 93% of faculty members across these regions are enthusiastic about AI and believe it will significantly enhance their teaching experience.

Based on insights from over 500 educators across 22 leading institutions nationwide, including Manipal Academy of Banking, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Chanakya University, BITSoM, VIT Bangalore, The Apollo University, Malla Reddy University, the Indian Institute of Art and Design, etc, the survey explored the transformative potential of AI on overall teaching experience. It also assessed faculty readiness for training in AI tools and examined how technology can be leveraged to revolutionize teaching and learning.

The Digii survey revealed that about 41% of faculty members are actively using AI in their teaching. Among these, over 70% utilize AI for content creation, 40.1% for generating assessments, 28.4% for monitoring attendance, 24.4% for conducting evaluations, and 22.5% for generating feedback. Additionally, over 37% have experimented with AI tools but are not currently using them, while 21.6% have not used AI tools at all in their teaching.

"One of the most promising insights from our survey is the overwhelming enthusiasm among educators in Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad to embrace AI-based tools. 97% of them are not only interested in leveraging AI to improve learning outcomes but are also willing to undergo the necessary training to integrate these tools effectively into their teaching practices," said Hemant Sahal, Founder & CEO, Digii.

IIIT-Bangalore And Greendzine Technologies Sign MoU For Collaborative R&D On Robotic Picker Project


International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B), a premier research and development institution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Greendzine Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a leading company specializing in Electric mobility solutions for the Industrial and Warehouse market. Greendzine is building solutions to connect Warehouse to Home (W2H) through its MOPTro EV platform. This MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on the development and implementation of the innovative Robotic Picker technology on Greendzine's MOPTro WASP, a product for warehouse picking.

The collaboration aims to leverage IIIT-B's cutting-edge research capabilities and Greendzine's expertise in electric mobility solutions to create a groundbreaking Robotic Picker that can significantly enhance automation in warehouses and industries. The project will involve advanced research in vision systems, multi-agent path planning algorithms and universal grippers, with IIIT-B providing the necessary lab facilities, product demonstration platforms and funding for the research.

IIIT-Bangalore will offer its expertise in the areas of vision systems, path planning algorithms and universal grippers while providing lab facilities for research and product demonstration. IIIT-B will also fund the project, including resources, hardware, software and IP filing.

Greendzine Technologies will be responsible for the execution and management of the project, including overseeing program management, prototyping, testing and vendor management. The company will also handle the demonstration of the solution to potential customers and execute proof of concept at customer premises.

The project, which is set to run for one year with an option for an additional two-year extension represents a significant step forward in the field of robotic automation. Both parties are committed to ensuring the highest standards of research and development throughout the collaboration. The project is under aegis of MINRO, which is Center of Excellence (CoE) funded by the Government of Karnataka.

AU Small Finance Bank To Organize 1100 Health Camps Across 12 States In India


* Benefitting close to 1 Lakh people from aspirational districts of Rural India

AU Small Finance Bank, India's largest Small Finance Bank, has launched a comprehensive initiative to organise health camps across twelve states. The initiative was launched with an inaugural camp in Sirohi district, Rajasthan, today. Through this initiative, the Bank’s CSR arm- AU Foundation aims to organize 1,100 camps, benefiting approximately 1 lakh individuals who lack easy access to primary healthcare services.

The primary goal of these camps is to provide basic health checkups and diagnoses to the rural communities, with a focus on reducing the prevalence of anemia and raising awareness about diseases in rural India. The initiative will be executed in phase wise manner beginning with Rajasthan and Gujarat in the first phase and later expanding to ten more states, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. At few locations, the camp will be hosted twice in broader time intervals to monitoring the health of patients hailing from the same location.

These camps, targeting the aspirational districts in rural India, aim to bring healthcare benefits to underprivileged communities. Medical teams will conduct primary-level health checks, including weight, height, hemoglobin levels, blood pressure, blood sugar and assessments for conditions such as cough, fever, skin diseases and other ailments. Necessary medications will also be provided based on the diagnoses and each anemic patient will receive a 30-day supply of tablets as part of the Anemia Awareness Program.
