Tata Motors Registered Total Sales Of 71,693 Units In August 2024


Total CV Sales of 27,207 units, -15% YoY

Total PV Sales of 44,486 units, -3% YoY

Tata Motors Limited sales in the domestic & international market for August 2024 stood at 71,693 vehicles, compared to 78,010 units during August 2023.

Domestic sale of MH&ICV in August 2024, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,008 units, compared to 13,506 units in August 2023.

Total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in August 2024, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,708 units compared to 14,016 units in August 2023.

Passenger Vehicles: Includes sales of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, both subsidiaries of Tata Motors Limited.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Registers Strong Performance With Steady Growth Of 35% In August 2024


Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) continues to demonstrate its robust performance, reporting a wholesale of 30,879 units in August 2024. This marks a 35% month-on-month growth compared to the previous year further solidifying the brand’s strong presence in the Indian automobile industry. In August 2023, TKM had sold 22,910 units.

In August 2024, TKM achieved 28,589 units in domestic sales, with exports reaching 2290 units, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles both within India and internationally.

Additionally, the performance from the first eight months of the Calendar Year (CY) continues to surpass expectations with a 45% growth over the same period last year. From January- August 2024 company sold 2,12,785 units while CY 2023 recorded sales of 1,47,192 units.

Commenting on the strong sales performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar – Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “As we approach the festive season, demand for our products remain buoyant, and we are already witnessing increased consumer interest and higher footfall across all our dealerships. SUVs and MPVs continue to significantly contribute to our sales numbers, reflecting a growing preference for these segment vehicles. Interestingly, this trend is not limited to major urban centres but extends to tier 2 and tier 3 markets as well, demonstrating widespread customer acceptance for our offerings.

As a response to the market needs, we reopened the bookings in August for the Innova Hycross ZX & ZX (O) models, available in both self-charging strong hybrid electric (SHEV) and gasoline variants. With streamlined production and an enhanced supply chain, we've successfully reduced the waiting period, allowing us to commence bookings for the top-end grades. The retail store’s size of more 6,100 sq. ft. can easily showcase 6 vehicles with sufficient parking space for visitors. A 60 kW DC fast charger is available round-the-clock for visitors to charge their EVs while spending time in the store. Also available for sale will be the TATA.ev Originals accessory range for discerning customers.

A dedicated EV service facility will be coming up shortly with this store with 11 mechanical bays. With a crew of highly qualified technicians, this workshop will be able to serve over 700 EVs a month, enhancing the customer experience and the service quality.

In line with the brand pillars of TATA.ev, the Kochi retail stores follow similar guiding principles as the earlier launched manifestations of the brand identity. Inside, TATA.ev Edappally and TATA.ev Kalamassery will have a dedicated space for hosting EV community events like workshops and meet-ups with EVOLVE members. Through the configurator screen customers can see the price of their favorite Tata EV as well as features and color options available in a particular persona. The EV Demystifier wall shows various charging options available to customers to charge their vehicle. It helps curb range anxiety by helping the user plan their journey between two cities by showcasing various charging stations available on the route they select. Furthermore, the artful addition of the Blue Tokai café at the store, adds a touch of comfort as visitors can enjoy coffee from a fellow home-grown brand and understand more about the store by downloading the ‘find your way’ map using a QR code available at the café.

Turkish Airlines Completes Financing Of Two Airbus A350 Aircraft In Swiss Franc With KfW IPEX-Bank


Turkish Airlines, flying to more international destinations than any other airline, continues to expand its fleet with new aircraft acquisitions. Reaffirming its leading position time and again in this regard, the national flag carrier has completed another unique financing transaction.

Two new-generation Airbus A350 aircraft that joined the flag carrier’s fleet in August 2024 are financed in Swiss Franc by KfW IPEX-Bank under the guarantee of European Export Credit Agencies. This unique transaction showcases Turkish Airlines’ ability to diversify and extend its financier base geographically as well as demonstrates a strong financial management approach to take advantage of cost efficiency while minimizing currency risks.

Commenting on the closing of this transaction, Turkish Airlines’ Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board and the Executive Committee, Assoc. Prof. Murat ?eker stated; “This landmark deal between Turkish Airlines and KfW IPEX-Bank reaffirms our commitment to long-term sustainability goals by modernizing our fleet with new-generation aircraft. We are pleased to strengthen our cooperation with KfW IPEX-Bank through this CHF currency transaction, which aligns with our diversification strategies in aircraft financing. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with KfW IPEX-Bank.”
