The much-anticipated Jalsa-e-Punjab – Baisakhi special vibrant cultural and entertainment event successfully concluded its two-day celebration on April 12 and 13, 2025, bringing back memories of the rich cultural landscape of Punjab. The two-day event, held in Dilli Haat, Janakpuri, New Delhi, which showcased Punjabi culture and heritage, drew more than 10,000 enthusiastic attendees, including members of the Punjabi Diaspora, local residents, international guests and industry influencers.
Jalsa-e-Punjab is a feeling—a celebration of the soul and spirit of Punjab. It’s where the vibrant colors of Punjabi culture came alive, where the beats of the dhol echoed in hearts, and where every moment felt like a joyful dance of tradition and togetherness. The event featured a blend of traditional Punjabi music and contemporary exhibition, with a star-studded lineup featuring electrical performance by renowned artist Ashok Mastie, Honeyjeet Singh and revered Debi Makhsoospuri. Combined with live acts, interactive open mic sessions, soulful and rhythmic music, created an atmosphere of exuberant cultural unity where every beat and every note resonated with the timeless spirit and lively heritage of Punjab.
In addition to the musical extravaganza, the event offered an immersive cultural experience with stalls such as "Swaad Punjab da" and "Bazar-e-Punjab" provided the opportunity to explore indigenous art forms including Phulkari Embroidery, Pottery, Calligraphy and Woodcraft. The live cooking dished out served an array of authentic Punjabi cuisine including Butter Chicken, Sarson da Saag with Makki di Roti, Amritsari Kulcha, Jalebi, Gulab Jamun and Kulfi. These carefully curated experiences enticed audiences with praise for the permanent heritage of Punjab.
