Sagisu Expands Operations from Bengaluru to Chennai & Hyderabad



Sagisu, the most trusted new age intracity logistics partner, today announced their expansion to two important metros in South – Chennai and Hyderabad. The company known for its unique business and service model, Sagisu started its expansion plans for the entire South India by setting-up its operational offices in the two most important business hubs in the region. It’s a giant leap from the promising start-up which sets to increase its trucker’s fleet to 1000+ in the next 6months servicing 25+ clients in each city. The company plans to upturn its annualized revenue to INR 50 crores in the fiscal year 2019-20 from these existing offices at Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Sagisu is a new age intracity logistics startup which is disrupting the transportation ecosystem by bringing in all partners and associates on to the same platform to deliver state-of-the-art intracity transportation experience to customers. The initial area of service is aggregation business with primary focus on Ecommerce, Retail, Pharma, Logistics, Dairy & Farm Fresh, Real Estate and CPG sectors. Sagisu has hired initial employee strength of 15+ people in each of the two cities.  Both the regional offices will be led by General Managers with their past experiences from Paytm, Ola and the likes, supported by Supply Operation Managers, Territory Business Managers and the frontline Supply Executives.

Sagisu addresses the core problem of demand and supply asymmetry between truckers & customers for intracity logistics. Nagesh Rajanna, CEO-India Business, Sagisu said, “After demonstrating the proof of our unique concept and flexi business model at Bengaluru, we are scaling it up. With these two new operational cities, we would be able to provide extended services to our existing clients who want us to connect them to other southern cities. The aggregated truckers joining Sagisu family in the new cities will get all the prevailing benefits like their Bengaluru counterparts. We will be investing in their training, education, smart handsets, tech platforms and all other such augmenting tools. West India will be our next target region post covering the southern part of the country.”

It is estimated that the Indian logistics industry will continue to show robust growth of 10-15% annually, leading the pace of growth of the economy at large. The logistics companies are setting up big warehouses region wise and following the hub-and-spoke model for freight movement from the warehouses to the different manufacturing plants, wholesale outlets, retail outlets and the various POS. Sagisu is gearing up-to launch its unique proprietary Smart Hub which brings in all the partners and associates on to the same platform to deliver state-of-the-art intracity transportation experience to its customers, in Bengaluru soon.
