Inspired by 'A Dangerous Game', or 'Die Panne,' a 1956 novel about a mock trial by Swiss writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Ranjit Kapoor wrote 'Wrong Turn' in Hindi. This edge-of-the-seat thriller is now available in Kannada for the audiences in Karnataka. The teleplay begins when a stranger Arun, played by Varun Badola walks into an old, isolated house on a stormy night to find three retired lawyers playing an unusual game. Arun joins them and then ensues a mock trial that reveals uncomfortable truths about his past. A trial commences with a prosecutor and a defence lawyer while a 'judge' presides over the proceedings. What follows are events that blur the line between legal and moral justice.
Directed by Ishan Trivedi, the teleplay also stars Govind Namdev, Lalit Tiwari, Suneel Sinha, Liliput Faruqui, Suzzane Mukherjee, Anangsha Biswas, Shalini Sharma and Niraj Sah.
