* Dedicates 150-Bed Covid Care Wing
The historic 40-year-old Lakeside Medical Hospital at Ulsoor, currently undergoing renovation, was inaugurated virtually by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri B S Yediyurappa in the city today. Also inaugurated was a 150-bed Special Covid Ward. Located in the heart of the garden city, Lakeside Medical Hospital enjoys unmatched connectivity to all parts of the city and aims at providing highly specialized tertiary care to patients, once fully renovated.
“It is great news that a Covid Care Center with 150 beds and a Super Speciality Hospital, is being launched in the campus of Satyaprabha Lakeside Hospital. Satyaprabha Lakeside hospital which is one of the prestigious hospitals in Bangalore is now ready to serve people after renovation. Private hospitals joining hands with the government in controlling Covid 19 is a welcome move. People who provide services in medical field should be professionals and have moral values. It should be our constant endeavour to ensure quality medical service at an affordable price to common people. I am sure that Satyaprabha Lakeside Hospital will work in this direction” said Shri B S Yediyurappa while virtually inaugurating the hospital.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion include Shri P C Mohan, Member of Parliament and Mr. Rizwan Arshad, MLA, while Shri D K Sudhakar, Minister of Medical Education of Karnataka, Shri. G Satheesh Reddy, Chairman, DRDO, Shri Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament, and Shri Anand Sankeshwar, MD, VRL Group participated in the inaugural ceremony virtually.
They were welcomed by Ms. Chaitanya Audikeshavulu and family, current owners of the Lakeside Medical Centre & Hospital who have taken over the property and playing an important role in reviving and renovation of the hospital.
Currently being renovated and expected to commence operations shortly, Lakeside Medical Hospital will provide the latest and most comprehensive medical care facilities to all. Lakeside Medical Hospital will be overseen by Dr. Rajesh Naidu.
"This hospital has some great history associated with it and has several firsts to its credit including the first coronary bypass operation and the first kidney transplant in the city. My dream is for Lakeside Medical Hospital to regain its lost glory and offer quality healthcare to the people of the city, I am so happy that many of the Hospitals previous Doctors have re-joined the hospital with a great deal of enthusiasm. This gives me immense confidence and hope” said Ms. Chaitanya Audikeshavulu, Director of the Audikeshavulu Group of Companies.
