Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) strengthened its mid-size premium motorcycle line-up with the launch of the 2025 CB350, CB350 H’ness, and CB350RS, featuring vibrant new colours. Designed to elevate the riding experience, the updated models come with refreshed styling in terms of bold new hues, enhancing their premium appeal. The CB350 and CB350 H’ness continue to offer a perfect blend of retro charm and modern technology, while the CB350RS delivers sportier and dynamic vibe. Prices of these motorcycles range from Rs. 2,10,500 to Rs. 2,18,850, depending on the model. They are now available at all BigWing dealerships across India.

At the heart of the new CB350, CB350 H’ness, and CB350RS is a powerful 348.36cc, air-cooled,

4-stroke, single-cylinder BSVI OBD2B compliant PGM-FI engine. They are also now E20 fuel compliant to meet government sustainability regulations. This engine churns out 15.5 kW power at 5,500 RPM and 30 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 RPM in CB350 H’ness & CB350RS while in the CB350 the torque output is 29.5 Nm at 3,000 RPM. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox.

In an event graced by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi, Nestlé India laid the foundation stone for its upcoming factory in Khordha, Odisha. This is slated to be Nestlé India’s tenth factory and first in the eastern part of the country.

Talking at the event, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha said that he was happy to see the progress made by Nestlé India in setting up a state-of-the-art facility, with cutting-edge technology in Khordha district. He conveyed his belief that this factory would enable Nestlé India to scale new heights and assured them of continued support in their endeavor.

Rebuilding Lives, Restoring Hope: Kerala’s Largest Rehabilitation Effort Begins In Wayanad


* Rebuilding communities with compassion: A new dawn for Wayanad

A new chapter of hope and resilience unfolded as the Government of Kerala laid the foundation stone for the Wayanad Rehabilitation Project, the largest rehabilitation effort in India executed through the largest labour cooperative of Asia, the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) Ltd. This ambitious effort aims to restore the lives of families affected by the devastating July 30, 2024, landslides, which claimed over 298 lives and displaced thousands. The project spans 64 hectares in Kalpetta, offering beneficiaries seven cents of land and a 1,000-square-feet 2BHK home in a township with modern amenities.

The foundation stone was laid by Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in an auspicious ceremony at Elston Estate, near the Kalpetta Bypass, which was attended by Revenue and Housing Minister K. Rajan, and other dignitaries. Designed as an eco-friendly, self-sustaining community, the township integrates housing, education, healthcare, and economic infrastructure to empower displaced families. It also underscores Kerala’s commitment to climate-resilient development and long-term sustainability.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, “The Wayanad rehabilitation stands as a testament to Kerala's resilience and unity. When faced with what seemed impossible, our people came together with unwavering solidarity, proving that no disaster can break us. The selflessness of our children, the dedication of our institutions, and the collective will of the government have transformed adversity into hope. This mission is a reminder that when we stand together, nothing is beyond our reach.”

As part of the rehabilitation effort, Chief Minister Vijayan launched the portal wayanadtownship.kerala.gov.in, enabling people to contribute to the rebuilding process. He also announced financial support from the Karnataka government, which has allocated ?20 crore for constructing 100 houses, alongside commitments from the National Service Scheme (?10 crore) and DYFI, which has handed over ?20 crore for the construction of 100 houses.

Reflecting on this commitment, ULCCS Chairman Rameshan Paleri stated, “We have always stood firm with the aggrieved people of Wayanad, ever since our team from a nearby work site rushed to the disaster site within an hour to assist in rescue operations. The company’s total sales for March’25 stood at 4,27,448 units. This includes domestic sales of 4,01,411 units and 26,037 unit exports.

Noteworthy, the company sold 58,31,104 units during the FY’25, recording a 19% YoY growth. This includes domestic sales of 53,26,092 units and 5,05,012 unit exports.

Meta Launches New AI-Powered Ad Tools To Boost Sales For Ecommerce And Retail Businesses


Meta has announced new tools that can help drive growth and incremental performance gains for e-commerce and retail businesses. As growth for e-commerce as an industry gets fueled in India on the back of Quick Commerce and the rise of online shopping in tier-2 and tier-3 towns, these new ad tools and features could further turbocharge growth for businesses in the sector. 

Among the tools being launched is omnichannel ads, which allow advertisers to show ads that highlight nearby locations to people most likely to shop in-store. Meta is expanding access to omnichannel ads to more advertisers, adding the ability to guide people to the nearest store with products in stock, and surfacing discounts that can make it even more enticing for shoppers to visit a store. Initial testing showed that advertisers that used omnichannel ads had a 15% lower media omnichannel CPA and a 12% higher media ROAS when compared to their business as usual campaigns. 

Meta recently held Meta Marketing Summit E-Commerce Edition to throw light on the emerging trends in the e-commerce space in India. The summit was attended by leading marketers across Mumbai and Bangalore.

Retail brands with offline store presence that deploy omnichannel strategies are likely to gain most from omnichannel ads. For instance, apparel brand Taneira has leveraged Omnichannel Optimization ads and seen strong business outcomes. 

Said Aishwarya Omprakash, Head of Marketing, Taneira, "In our pilot campaign utilizing Meta’s omnichannel ads, we observed a significant boost in performance, achieving 3.5x higher purchase conversions and 4.3x higher Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) compared to campaigns optimized solely for purchases. This encouraging outcome reinforces the value of a multi-touchpoint strategy, and we’re excited to take this experiment further in the coming year."

Harnessing the power of AI, in the coming months, Meta will also allow advertisers to use Partnership ads and AI-powered Advantage+ catalog ads together.

Partnership ads harness the power of creators by allowing advertisers to run ads with creators, brands and other businesses. India is home to the largest community of Instagram creators in the world and more than 4,000 advertisers in India already use Partnership Ads. 

Ecommerce brands across categories have already unlocked growth for themselves on the back of Partnership Ads. 

Said Pawrush Elavia, Head of Growth at Zepto, “We used the authentic voice of creators to highlight our 10-minute delivery USP for which we leveraged Partnership Ads. The experiment resulted in an 18% lower CAC and a 33% higher CTR when combining Partnership Ads with BAU strategies compared to BAU alone.” 

Meta is also introducing a new optimization that allows its ads system to show additional products from the catalog when promoting a preferred product set with the AI-powered Advantage+ catalog ads. With this feature a fashion brand, for instance, could choose to highlight jackets from their spring collection and give the system the option to serve a dress that a shopper might also be interested in. In initial tests, advertisers saw a 14% increase in ROAS when using this optimization on average. 

Continuing the momentum on AI, Meta is also introducing new Generative AI powered features for ecommerce brands effectively. This half Meta will continue to explore new features including using Gen AI to place clothing on virtual models. By giving customers a better sense of how an item might look and fit, it could help shoppers confidently make a purchase and advertisers create more compelling experiences. Today advertisers can use background generation in Catalog ads and the company is experimenting with more personalized outputs for text generation. This will help advertisers better merchandise their products on Meta platforms and create ad copy that resonates with customers.

Generative AI is already being used by ecommerce companies in India. Quick Commerce giant Big Basket is an early adopter of Meta’s Generative AI ad features.

That's why we were eager to test GenAI-powered catalog ads. The results were great and we are confident this technology will continue to drive efficiency for our business.”

Big Basket leveraged a three-cell test for catalog ads, measuring Background Generation, Image Expansion versus BAU cells. They saw a 2.7% better click-through-rate (CTR) than BAU cell and 3.4% lower cost per install (CPI) than BAU cell.

Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road Successfully Removes Lemon-Sized Tumor With Expert Surgical Care


~ Pott’s Puffy Tumor, a rare and aggressive condition involving an infection of the frontal sinus ~

A 54-year-old man from Anantapur, underwent a successful and complex surgical procedure at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, to remove a lemon-sized tumor. He was diagnosed with Pott’s Puffy Tumor, a rare and aggressive condition that involves an infection of the frontal sinus. Under the expert care of Dr Susheen Dutt, Senior Consultant - ENT, Cochlear Implant and Skull Base Surgeon, Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore, along with Dr Abhishek S, Consultant - Otorhinolaryngology, Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore the patient underwent a complex surgical procedure and was discharged after a five-day hospital stay.

The patient, Sham (name changed), a resident of Anantapur, was experiencing a rapidly growing and extremely painful swelling on his forehead, which had expanded to the size of a lemon within just three and a half weeks. Initially, he noticed a gradual swelling between his eyebrows, which soon became intensely painful. Concerned about the progressive nature of the swelling, he sought medical attention in his hometown. After local consultations, he was referred to Fortis Hospital in Bengaluru for further evaluation and advanced treatment.

Upon arrival at Fortis Hospital, a thorough medical evaluation was conducted, including an MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging), to determine if the infection had spread to the brain. The results revealed that the swelling was pressing against the back wall of the frontal sinus, a sinus located in the forehead. While the infection had not yet reached the brain, it posed a significant risk due to the proximity of the sinus to the frontal lobe. Understanding the severity of the case, Dr. Susheen recommended a surgical approach to ensure precise treatment and effective resolution of the condition.

Giving details of the case, Dr Susheen Dutt, Senior Consultant - ENT, Cochlear Implant and Skull Base Surgeon, Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore said, “We opted for a combined approach (open and endoscopic), making a precise incision above the forehead to gain better access and ensure complete removal of the infected tissue. We had to ensure that the infection did not breach the thin layer of tissue separating the sinus from the brain. We worked meticulously to clear the infection while safeguarding the brain.”

“In addition to removing the infection, the team performed a frontal sinus obliteration procedure to prevent any future infections. Fat was used to fill the sinus cavity, sealing it off completely. This procedure eliminates the need for further bone reconstruction, as the sinus will not reopen. Over time, the area will heal, and the patient will not require additional surgeries. This approach prevents recurrence and avoids the complications associated with bone reconstruction.”

Pause Before You Pay: Stay Safe This April Fool’s Day With Visa’s Tips


Cyber frauds and digital scams have reached a new level of sophistication. According to government data, people lost a combined Rs. 1.77 billion to fraud in FY 2024. This April Fool’s Day, Visa shares simple tips to spot, stop and dodge digital payment scams.

1. SIM Swap: Scammers can trick mobile carriers into porting your number to their own SIM, gaining access to OTPs and accounts, also called simjacking. If you face sudden network loss, SIM change alerts and unusual activity like login attempts and SMS alerts. Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) that does not rely on SMS alone, like biometrics, to secure your account.

2. Digital Arrest: Scammers, impersonating law enforcement, claim your involvement in a crime and demand immediate, urgent payments to avoid arrest. Remember, legitimate authorities never ask for payments over a call. Use the Indian Government’s I4C online database hosted on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal to verify the caller’s legitimacy.

3. Skimming Scams: Hackers can compromise POS or ATM machines by using skimmers, or use malicious code on websites, to steal card details or redirect shoppers to fake checkout pages. Check for skimmars at ATMs and use contactless payments to tap your Visa card at stores. Save your cards on trusted apps and just pay with a tap!

4. Voice Cloning AI Scams: Fraudsters use AI to mimic voices of known people and could pressure you into sending money to unknown numbers and people. Be skeptical of phone calls that portray urgency and if they seem to be a friend, ask key or personal questions to confirm their identity.

Digital scams should always be reported to the Cybercrime Helpline (dial 1930), on their portal or the NCRP. This April Fool’s Day, be vigilant and do not let scammers have the last laugh!
