Zinnia Earns Dual Industry Recognition In India For Insurance Innovation

* “Back-to-back honours highlight the role Zinnia's India-based teams play in advancing insurance technology and digital transformation for carriers worldwide.”

Zinnia, a leading life and annuity technology company, today announced that it has received two industry recognitions for its work advancing insurance innovation and digital transformation.

At the Global BFSI Leadership Summit 2026, hosted by The Leadership Federation in Mumbai on July 30, Zinnia received the Digital Insurance Transformation Excellence Award. Josh Everett, CEO of Zinnia India, accepted the award on behalf of teams across the company.

At the Future of Insurance Summit & Awards 2026, hosted by UBS Forums in Mumbai on August 20, Zinnia was named Best InsurTech Partner of the Year. The recognition reflects Zinnia's work with insurers to modernize complex processes, connect distribution and servicing, and create better experiences across the insurance lifecycle.

"Insurance is built on promises that have to be kept over decades, and technology only matters when it makes those promises easier to keep. These recognitions belong to our teams, whose work is helping insurers modernize with greater speed and confidence and build simpler, more connected experiences for everyone the industry serves. We're grateful to the clients who trust us to help move the industry forward," said Josh Everett, CEO of Zinnia India.

For decades, insurers have run product, distribution and servicing on separate systems, forcing carriers to stitch together processes that should work as one. Zinnia's platform unifies those functions, giving carriers a single platform to reduce fragmentation and accelerate growth, while giving distributors and advisors the same data and the same view needed to deliver seamless experiences to consumers.

"These awards reflect the discipline our teams bring to execution every day. From building resilient systems, to closing the gap between design and delivery, and doing it at a scale few in the industry can match. This recognition is a reflection of that consistency, and of the people who make it possible," said Dhirendra Singh, Head of Global Operations, Zinnia.

The scale and depth of Zinnia’s India operations are increasingly shaping how we build and deliver technology for insurers worldwide, and these recognitions celebrate the teams driving that impact.

* Discovery Fund I tracking 1.8x TVPI within four years of first close

* Partially Exited Fund I Portfolio companies – RentoMojo, Shadowfax and Kusumgar listed in 2026

EAAA, the alternatives arm of Edelweiss, today announced that its private equity strategy has scaled to ~INR 2,500 crore in fee-paying assets under management (FPAUM) across its Discovery Funds, marking a significant milestone.

The Discovery Strategy, comprising Edelweiss Discovery Fund I and Discovery Fund II, focuses on investing in mid-stage businesses that have demonstrated product-market fit and are entering their next phase of institutional growth.

Launched in 2022, Edelweiss Discovery Fund I built a portfolio of companies including Shadowfax, Kusumgar, RentoMojo, GIVA, Renee Cosmetics and ProcMart. The Fund is currently tracking at 1.8x TVPI (Total Value to Paid-in) within four years of its first close.

The portfolio has also begun generating liquidity events, with Shadowfax and Kusumgar successfully listing in 2026. Both investments have delivered significant value appreciation since investment. The Fund has already made its first distribution based on part-exits from these investments.

RentoMojo marks the third investment from Fund I to deliver a partial exit through capital markets. The current listed price indicates a 6.3x multiple on the investment.

Amit Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, EAAA India Alternatives, said, “Capability before capital has been the cornerstone of our platform. Over the past four years, we have deliberately focused on building institutional capabilities — the right team, a rigorous investment discipline and a scalable platform — enabling us to create enduring value in the businesses we back and deliver long-term outcomes for our investors. The true measure of private equity lies not in the capital invested, but in the businesses built and the value created.”

Ashish Agarwal, Managing Director, Private Equity, EAAA India Alternatives, said, "We launched the Discovery Strategy to address a growing need for institutional growth capital among businesses that have already demonstrated strong unit economics and operational scale. The progress of Fund I and the response to Fund II reinforces the attractiveness of this opportunity set and our ability to identify and support the next generation of market-leading businesses."

Discovery Fund II, which has raised INR 1,300 crore so far from marquee investors, has already commenced deployment. The Fund marked its first investment by leading a INR 230 crore funding round in Arboreal Bio Innovations, an ingredients technology company focused on specialty food and nutraceutical ingredients. Discovery Fund II is targeting investments of approximately INR 200 crore per company.

With an FPAUM of ~INR 2,500 crore across two funds within four years, the Discovery Strategy has established itself as a differentiated growth-equity platform within EAAA, focused on partnering with high-quality businesses through their next phase of growth and value creation.

EAAA Alternatives is a diversified alternatives platform and comprises eight strategies including infrastructure, special situations, performing credit and commercial real estate. The portfolio across these strategies include 1.73 GW solar, 4,586 lane km of road, 3.1 mn sq.ft. office space and 1,835 circuit kms of transmission lines. Hitachi Vantara Commits to Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by FY2040, With SBTi-Validated Targets

* SBTi independently validates near- and long-term science-based targets

* Near-term targets align with a pathway to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius

* Commitment builds on energy-efficient infrastructure that has helped customers like Malayala Manorama reduce power and cooling costs by 70%

Hitachi Vantara, the data storage, infrastructure and hybrid cloud management subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501), announced its commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its global value chain by fiscal year 2040 (FY2040). The company also announced that its near- and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets have been independently validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global corporate climate action organization that develops standards, tools and guidance for science-based target setting.

For more information about Hitachi Vantara’s sustainability efforts, go to: https://www.hitachivantara.com/sustainability

For customers and partners, the SBTi validation confirms that Hitachi Vantara’s targets align with the latest climate science and reinforces the transparency and accountability behind the company’s climate strategy. The milestone also reinforces Hitachi Vantara’s broader focus on helping organizations address one of the defining challenges of the AI era: managing rapidly growing data infrastructure requirements more efficiently and sustainably.

For organizations working to meet their climate and sustainability goals, addressing emissions across the value chain is becoming increasingly important. According to a recent Congressional Research Service report, energy efficiency and conservation can reduce electricity consumption and lower energy bills, with cooling systems accounting for as much as 38% to 40% of data center electricity use. As data and AI demands continue to grow, more efficient infrastructure can help organizations reduce power and cooling costs while supporting their emissions-reduction goals.

“Customers increasingly expect their technology suppliers to demonstrate that their climate commitments are credible and backed by action,” said Simon Ninan, senior vice president of business strategy, Hitachi Vantara. “Our commitment to achieve net zero by FY2040 sets a clear direction and holds us accountable to measurable progress. Independent validation of our science-based targets strengthens that commitment while building on the work already underway across our business to help customers improve efficiency, reduce power and cooling costs and make progress toward their own sustainability goals.”

Hitachi Vantara’s validated science-based targets establish near- and long-term milestones toward its FY2040 net-zero commitment. Under its near-term targets, the company has committed to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 98% by FY2030 from an FY2024 baseline year and reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions 51% per usable petabyte of storage capacity sold by FY2036. Under its long-term targets, the company has committed to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions 97% per usable petabyte of storage capacity sold by FY2040, compared with the FY2024 baseline year.

The milestone builds on continued progress across Hitachi Vantara’s sustainability efforts. In FY2025, the company reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 43%, largely driven by obtaining 50% of its energy from renewable sources. The company also expanded lifecycle sustainability initiatives across its Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One) data platform, including its block, file and object portfolios, while strengthening its greenhouse gas emissions governance, data quality and audit readiness. Hitachi Vantara is working to align its broader product portfolio with the Hitachi Eco-Design Management Guidelines.

The company is also working to help customers improve the efficiency of their data infrastructure and reduce their environmental impact. VSP 360 Clear Sight, for example, gives customers greater visibility into energy use and carbon impact across their VSP environments and provides recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Recent customer results include:

DestekBank reduced data center energy consumption by 25% and total cost of ownership by 20%.

Malayala Manorama cut power and cooling costs by 70% and reduced data center rack space by 66%.

Garanti BBVA estimates that its Hitachi Vantara storage systems consume approximately 30% less energy than competing systems.

Aquiris deployed VSP One Block to support critical water treatment operations that process more than 110 million cubic meters of wastewater annually and collect more than 1 million data points per day, while helping reduce power usage and lower its carbon footprint.

“Our commitment to achieving net zero by FY2040 reflects both ambition and accountability,” said Courtney Hadden, sustainability director at Hitachi Vantara. “Sustainability is most effective when it is embedded into decision-making across the organization, supported by strong governance and informed by reliable data. Independent validation of our targets reinforces that approach, providing a clear, science-based framework to measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable over the long term.”

Together, these efforts reinforce Hitachi Vantara’s commitment to helping customers build more efficient, resilient and sustainable digital infrastructure while advancing measurable progress toward a lower-carbon future.

Countdown To Motoverse 2026 Begins With First Artist Lineup Reveal!

● Reble, Lifafa, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjith Hegde, and more lead the first wave of artists for India’s biggest moto-culture celebration

● Motorcycles, art, culture and community – all coming together in a distinctly 16-bit era-inspired Motoverse experience from Nov 27-29, 2026 at Vagator, Goa

Gearing up for the biggest moto-culture celebration, Motoverse 2026, Royal Enfield has today announced the event’s first set of artist lineup bringing together some of the most distinctive voices and sounds from across India.

Set against the backdrop of Royal Enfield’s landmark 125th year, Motoverse 2026 promises three days of music, motorcycles, art, sport and culture from November 27–29 at Vagator, Goa.

Set to be the festival’s biggest edition yet, Motoverse 2026 will offer exclusive motorcycle unveils and launches, Pure Sport experiences, art and craftsmanship, curated rides, food, workshops and a host of community experiences.

Headlining the Main Stage are Reble, Lifafa, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjith Hegde, MHR & Friends and The Think Floydian, an eclectic mix that cuts across hip-hop, Hindi-language electronica, playback and tribute performance. Reble brings the raw energy of India's independent hip-hop circuit, now carried into national film soundtracks; Farhan Akhtar crosses freely between screen and stage; Sanjith Hegde arrives with a multilingual playback repertoire; and Lifafa continues to push the boundaries of Hindi-language electronica. Rounding out the stage, MHR & Friends bring together for a genre-fluid set of rap, melody and experimental production, while The Think Floydian recreate Pink Floyd's atmospheric, immersive live sound for a psychedelic set of their own. Together, these artists reflect the breadth and diversity that has come to define Motoverse.

That same spirit carries over to the Community Stage, which turns the spotlight towards India's independent and emerging music scene. Singer-songwriters Rushil and Mali bring an intimate, emotive edge, Suggahunny adds a sharper hip-hop voice, and Curtain Blue, Komorebi & Goya, OG SHEZ and Aksomaniac round things out with a mix of independent, electronic and regional R&B sounds. Across both stages, the lineup celebrates artists who share Motoverse's restless, individualistic spirit – creators who are constantly exploring new roads, sounds and possibilities. More names are set to be announced in the lead-up to the festival.

At the Pure Sport arena, riders and enthusiasts can put their skills to the test across Dirt Track, Moto Polo, Maut Ka Kuan, Slide School, Drift School and Trail School. Motoville will celebrate creativity and craftsmanship from Royal Enfield’s global creative movement, while MotoReel will bring together riders, adventurers, racers, custom builders and explorers through workshops, conversations and stories.

Beyond the festival grounds, Motoverse will once again spill across Goa with curated rides, gourmet experiences, community-led competitions, interactive workshops and a marketplace featuring more than 100 motorcycling and lifestyle brands. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience and test ride Royal Enfield’s complete motorcycle portfolio, including Flying Flea’s electric mobility range.

The growing scale of Motoverse has made it one of the country’s most distinctive communities around motorcycling and culture. In 2025, the festival saw over 40,000 footfalls across three days, with more than 600 riding clubs and communities travelling to Goa from India and around the world.

This year, the invitation remains simple: come for the music, stay for the motorcycles, and find your tribe. More than 60 percent of attendees at Motoverse are first-timers, and the festival continues to grow while retaining the community spirit that has defined it for more than a decade and a half.

Early Bird registrations are now live, with tickets starting at ₹2,599. Group passes, discounts, and exclusive Early Bird benefits are also available for riding crews and communities planning their journey to Goa.
