Among the few companies globally committed to meaningfully increasing the number of impact workers from 350K currently to 500K+ by 2025, FiveS Digital is one of them. The tech-led BPM company commits 5000 additional jobs through its impact sourcing model by 2025.
Former US President Mr. Bill Clinton's foundation – Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) recently organized its annual meeting in New York City on 19th and 20th of September. Several global leaders including Elizabeth A. Vazquez, Co-Founder and CEO, WEConnect International, Nazanin Ash, CEO, Welcome.US, Dr. Carla Barnett, Secretary-General, Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Helen Clark, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Peggy Clark, CEO and President, International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Melinda French Gates, Co-Chair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy were present to discuss the actions required to counter the most pressing challenges that the world faces. Through its unique model, CGI supports and funds its partners and social startups in converting commitments to new, specific, and measurable actions within climate resilience, health equity, and inclusive economic recovery and growth.
One of the critical discussions at the event was advocating pathways that would allow organizations to find the talent they need and increase opportunities for underserved communities. It has become increasingly relevant over the past decade and is gaining a lot of attention worldwide, focused on United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Creating opportunities for those with disadvantaged backgrounds and limited employment prospects is one of the key focus areas for all responsible businesses.
As an impact sourcing and diversity certified company, for FiveS Digital, enabling under-represented sections of the society to uncover their full potential is the way to scale business with meaningful impact. Over the last 13 years, 6000+ families have been impacted positively across various small towns and villages of India. The team is looking to scale the model further to deliver impact sustainably, partnering with the community, various skilling platforms, and through its internal RiSE program to build capacity.
Mr. Kapil Sharma, CEO, FiveS Digital shares, "Impact sourcing not just benefits the individuals from a particular section of society, or the community, but has tremendous advantages for businesses as well. It leads to a better quality of employee pool, consistency in deliveries, and lower cost of operations due to lesser attrition.”
"In the case of impact workers, the attrition rates can be around 40% less than the general attrition trends. Additionally, the lower infrastructure cost, maintenance, and the ability to source and procure faster make this a strong comparative model."
"It is humbling to know that CGI recognizes impact sourcing on such a huge platform. Moreover, a matter of real pride and immense pleasure as FiveS Digital is one of the few companies globally committing to contribute towards growing the impact workers' overall quantum to 500k over the next 3 years. Everest group has done a lot of groundwork to make it happen", he adds.
To make it a reality, FiveS Digital also announced India’s first diverse and inclusive BPO delivery center in Navi Mumbai. With a capacity of 350+ people, it would embrace individuals from various ethnicities, genders, and differently abled people, all under one roof.
