Toyota Kirloskar Motor Sells 12497 Units During February 2019


Toyota Kirloskar Motor has sold a total of 11760 units in the domestic market in the month of February 2019. The company exported 737 units of the Etios series this month thus clocking a total of 12,497 units.  In the month of February 2018, TKM sold a total of 11864 units in the domestic market and exported 841 units of the Etios series.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. N. Raja, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “We have seen improvement in consumer sentiments as compared to last month leading to a growth in demand. However, the auto sales is witnessing a temporary slowdown in pre- election phase in addition to factors like tight liquidity condition impacting the buying behavior.

However, we are happy that the Innova Crysta continues to maintain the positive growth momentum in sales as compared to the same period last year.
                                                     
We are delighted with the overwhelming response that the All New Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle or self-charging electric vehicle has received from customers across India. It is encouraging for us to see that the customers have recognized the enhanced product with advanced Hybrid technology with smart intuitive features unparalleled drive experience, luxury, quality, reliability and safety. We have more than 400 bookings already. We have sold more than 130 units since launch on 18th Jan 2019. We believe customers will understand and appreciate the benefits of clean & green-friendly self-charging electric vehicles. We are capitalizing all our efficiency to reduce the current waiting period for All New Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle. We expect positive outlook in domestic sales in the month of March, which is generally good demand month for the industry. During the program’s expansion event at Rajkiya Balika Inter College, students learned and later explained complex scientific concepts such as reflection and refraction, eclipse, and inertia of motion, through simple experiments.
