Making festive nights memorable and safe, this partnership incentivizes safer rides
Uber and AB InBev India today announced the launch of Your Night, Our Ride, a joint initiative encouraging people to celebrate responsibly this festive season. Running from October 16 to November 10, the campaign will reward those who make responsible mobility choices. This collaboration marks a joint commitment by both companies to make celebrations safer and more convenient, while shaping a culture of moderation and responsibility.
The program will run across 100 of the most popular pubs, bars and restaurants in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida including, One8 Commune, Paul, Chili’s, Cafe Delhi Heights, 1522, and more. Customers who take an Uber to these partner venues can enjoy exclusive discounts on a range of beverages, while those heading back home can avail discounted Uber rides from participating outlets.
Speaking about the initiative, Shiva Shailendran, Director - Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia, “Through this campaign, we want to make choosing a safe ride home both rewarding and responsible. The festive season is a time for people to unwind and celebrate, and we want to ensure they can do that without worrying about how to get home safely. By joining hands with AB InBev, we’re making it easier for people to enjoy their evenings, act responsibly, and help keep the roads safer for everyone.”
Commenting on this initiative, Anasuya Ray, Vice President - Corporate Affairs, AB InBev India said "Festive moments are best enjoyed when they’re safe and memorable. We believe celebrations are rooted in responsible choices and this partnership with Uber brings that belief to life by offering patrons safer mobility options during the festive season. This initiative is an extension of our global campaign ‘Cheers to Moderation’ which celebrates smarter choices and responsible behaviours."
In the lead-up to the campaign, Uber commissioned a consumer survey to understand how India’s urban population views responsible social behaviours and safe mobility choices. The survey suggests that a vast majority of respondents recognise the importance of making safer travel decisions during social occasions, with 92% describing impaired driving as “very risky” or “extremely risky.”
At the same time, the survey indicates a growing preference for safer ways to get home. A majority of respondents said they rely on ride-hailing services like Uber after a night out, and 93% said they’ve chosen not to drive, making a responsible choice, since a safe and convenient option was available.
In the Uber survey, most respondents said the biggest deterrents to heading out for a drink were parking hassles, traffic, and the risk of having to drive back after drinking. Many also cited safety concerns with public transport, reinforcing the need for convenient and reliable options like Uber for a worry-free night out.
According to the Uber survey, 89% of respondents said they “strongly agree” that using Uber after a night out is a responsible choice, reinforcing how access to safe transport can shape safer habits.
The campaign underscores how access to safe and convenient transport options can reinforce responsible drinking habits. Both Uber and AB InBev India are committed to using their platforms to make responsible choices more accessible, ensuring celebrations remain about making memories and getting home safely.
Through the duration of the campaign, Uber riders can arrive in style at the pubs and restaurants with 20% off on Uber Black rides. Those preferring more affordable comfort can book both legs of their trip with Uber Premier at a 20% discount. Customers who show their Uber receipt at partner pubs can also enjoy additional discounts on their favourite AB InBev beverages.
‘Your Night, Our Ride’ will be live in select venues across Delhi-NCR and Bangalore through the festive period, with offers available until November 10.
