* With expansion on the cards, Mainstreet expands its footprint in retail through this significant milestone
Hype, self-expression, and exclusivity bring alive the ‘hypebeast’ culture. The Mainstreet Marketplace, India’s premier resale store helmed by entrepreneur Vedant Lamba, continues to push boundaries and showcase sneakers and streetwear in a profound, new light. With the launch of their sprawling new store in Dhanmill Compound, New Delhi, the brand has reimagined the future of luxury and streetwear, bringing together the best of both worlds, and was launched on 13th November'21.
A convergence of hype-d shopping and editorial storytelling, the Delhi showroom, which spans across 1600 square feet, is touted to be Asia’s largest resale store. Featuring futuristic inspirations, an industrial mood, and the vibe of an art gallery exhibit, every style is displayed with accentuating lights and impressive compositions.
Shelves crafted from raw reinforcement rods and contemporary props like carpet, furniture and abstract shaped mirror influenced by the brand’s identity and language makes the space more unique. Additionally, the most unique factor is the astonishing entrance that consists of the brand colours - red, black and white. The red contrast is to communicate the brand's mission, vision and the community it embodies. The store also features exciting arcade machines to enhance shopping experiences, inviting consumers to deep dive into the culture and its vibe. The brand doubles down on this newest offering with the launch of its clothing line that is equally exclusive and surprising.

“The lack of access to product owing to import restrictions, lack of a local platform regulating the industry, and no real, authentic information are some of the reasons we started Mainstreet,” explains Vedant. Every transaction follows a meticulous process, where sneakers and products are verified through a 23-step internal authentication procedure. “The vision was always to grow it into a flagship platform in India. Through immense success at our Mumbai outlet, the sneaker community in India has recognized the trust and authenticity that we bring to the business. And that has enabled us to make our expansion plans a reality.”
Meticulously designed to create a modern and contemporary shopping experience, the minimal and sleek interiors reflect the culture, hype factor, and of course, the sneakers and their extraordinary design details.
