* An initiative aimed to aid the police community fight climatic challenges in the lockdown
In its continued efforts to assist fight Covid-19, ACT Fibernet, one of India’s largest fiber broadband ISP (Internet Service Provider), today donated 4750 rainsuits to Bengaluru Traffic Police, to acknowledge and recognize their relentless service towards the society during this challenging times. The rainsuits were given to the traffic police in the presence of Honorable Shri. Basavaraja Bommaih, Home Minister of Karnataka and Bala Malladi, Chief Executive Officer, Atria Convergence Technologies Ltd., Kamal Pant, Police Commissioner, B R Ravikanthe Gowda IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), and other senior officers.
The pandemic has displayed extraordinary human resilience to preserve and prolong life and social order. As India is witnessing a massive surge in cases, and cities going on lockdown, the work of police officials has increased manifold to ensure citizens are safe and at the same time law and order is maintained. ACT Fibernet has been working with the government in every way possible to help fight this fatal virus since 2020 and this contribution is aimed to help the traffic police overcome climatic conditions during the monsoon season while allowing them to continue with their duty. ACT Fibernet is the first company to contribute rainsuits to entire traffic police force of Bengaluru.
Honourable Shri. Basavaraja Bommaih, Karnataka Home Minister addressed the gathering said, “We were planning to distribute rainsuits to the police officials, and I am happy to see ACT Fibernet has come forward to support us. On behalf of the Police department, I express gratitude and appreciation to ACT Fibernet for providing Scientifically Designed rainsuits that will aid our officers to perform their duties even in monsoon.
