Muthoot Finance Ltd, India's largest gold loan company through its Corporate Social Responsibility wing Muthoot M George Foundation initiated Muthoot Vivaha Sammanam in Bangalore.
The objective of the program is to support widowed mothers to meet the matrimonial needs of their daughter and overcome financial limitations to secure their daughters future. The event took place at Hotel Paraag,
Rajbhavan Road, Bangalore. The Muthoot Group handed over an amount of Rs. 1 Lac to 20 beneficiaries at the event.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Sowmya Reddy, MLA. The event was presided over by Mr. George M Alexander, Executive Director, Muthoot Finance Ltd.
Speaking at the event, Mr. George M Alexander, Executive Director, Muthoot Finance Ltd. said, “We at Muthoot Finance are committed to support and give back to the society. The company has been providing financial support for the marriages of underprivileged families through Muthoot M. George Foundation with the aim to support widowed women to get their daughters married and happily settled. We look forward to continue with this initiative in the future as well”
The scheme has already been implemented in Cochin, Trivandrum, and Chennai and then we extended to Bangalore in 2020, and supported 16 daughters of widowed mothers in 2020 by handing over an amount of Rs. 1 Lac each.
