Samsung India has moved to
its new Corporate Headquarters at Two Horizon Center, Gurgaon, Haryana. The
office spread over 5 floors with a carpet area of 232,000 sq ft. is now home to
1,500 employees.
The event was graced by Kalraj Mishra, Minister for Micro, Small
and Medium Enterprises, Govt of India Cho Hyun, Korean Ambassador to India, Santosh
Gangwar, Minister of State for Finance, GoI, Kiran Rijiju, Minister of State
for Home Affairs, GoI, and Vipul Goel, Minister of Industries and Commerce,
Environment and Industrial Training, Government of Haryana and other senior
government dignitaries and partners. HC Hong, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia along with his
senior executives hosted the event on behalf of Samsung India.
Speaking at the inauguration, Kalraj Mishra said, “We
will like to extend our best wishes to Samsung India on moving to their new
office. Over the years, Samsung has won the trust and confidence of the Indian
consumers and has emerged as the largest mobile and CE player in the country.
Samsung India’s tie up with MSME (Ministry) as part of their Corporate Social
Responsibility initiatives will go a long way in harnessing the skill potential
of Indian youth.”
HC Hong, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia,
said, “We started our journey in 1995 and over the years have
established ourselves as the most trusted brand in the country. As we grow, we
make new beginnings at every step. The opening of our new office is one such
moment.”

rededicates itself to India for the next twenty years and beyond. We will
continue to come up with transformative ideas and technologies giving people
the power to discover new experiences," he added.
Kiran Rijiju, Minister of
State, Ministry of Home, said “I have
seen the Samsung building in Seoul and the same has been followed here in
India. Samsung has grown over the years and the secret of this is filling the
gaps in the society by bringing innovations in their technology. Samsung is a
South Korean global company but in India we feel that it is an Indian company.
Not only is Samsung ‘Making in India’ but also ‘Making for India’ which touches
core of the heart.”
MoS Finance Santosh Gangwar and Haryana industry minister Vipul
Goel also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
Over the last twenty years, Samsung has effectively consolidated
its position in India with two manufacturing plants and three RnD facilities,
employing around 40,000 people.
The new office has been built on Samsung’s core values of People,
Excellence, Change, Integrity and Co-prosperity. The design element of each
floor signifies each value, with a different color code. The interiors are made
to suit every aspect of modern day work-style, with amenities such as maternity
care room, employee lounges, healing rooms, recreation room, ATMs and a swanky,
24,000 sq ft cafeteria and tuck shop, in addition to workstations, meeting
rooms and training rooms, etc.
