Tata Motors Delivers 181 Winger Veterinary Vans To The Government of Odisha

The feature-rich, customised Tata Motors Winger will be utilised as mobile veterinary vans by Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Government of Odisha

Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, today announced the delivery of 181 Winger veterinary vans to the Government of Odisha. The vehicles were flagged off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, along with delegates from the Government of Odisha and Tata Motors. The specially customised Tata Winger will be utilised as veterinary vans by Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Government of Odisha. Tata Motors emerged as the top bidder, as per the terms and conditions of the Government body, and delivered the fleet of fully-built Winger veterinary vans equipped with state-of-the-art features. The e-bidding process was carried out through the Government e-Marketplace.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rohit Srivastava, Business Head – CV Passengers, Tata Motors, said, "Tata Motors is happy to deliver 181 veterinary vans to the Government of Odisha, ushering in a new era of animal healthcare accessibility. The Tata Winger is powered by the 2.2-litre DiCOR engine with improved torque and better fuel economy. It also offers an ECO switch and Gear Shift Advisor that helps in increasing the fuel efficiency. The Winger’s best-in-class grade-ability of 25.8% helps in easy manoeuvring on steep inclines and flyovers. Additionally, the Winger's independent front suspension with anti-roll bars and hydraulic shock absorbers assure a smooth ride, as does its monocoque body design, which guarantees car-like driving dynamics and low levels of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

NABARD Emphasizes On Agri-Fintech Innovations For Taking Rural And Agri-Economy Forward

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) took center stage at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF), held from September 5th to September 7th, 2023 in Mumbai. NABARD highlighted its ground-breaking work to integrate digital financial services with rural and agri-economy. During the event, NABARD participated in a series of panel discussions addressing important topics. These included the far-reaching impact of digital identity and Know Your Customer (KYC) solutions on regulation, as well as engaging with Fintechs and Agri-techs. NABARD shared its extensive experience working alongside these sectors and unveiled a spectrum of initiatives aimed at propelling the agricultural and rural economy to new heights through comprehensive digital financial services.

National Diagnostics Chain Tenet Diagnostics To Invest Rs.100 Crore For Karnataka Expansion

Tenet Medcorp Pvt. Ltd with the brand name Tenet Diagnostics, a leading national Integrated Diagnostics chain with its presence in eight states and 25 locations across India, is all set to invest Rs. 100 crore in Karnataka expansion. The move will boost access to the latest technology and infrastructure in Diagnostics, Laboratory services and preventive healthcare in the state. 

With this investment, Tenet diagnostics will double its presence in Karnataka from the current 5 to 15 by 2025. It’s five centres in Bengaluru are located in Jayanagar, Sadashivanagar, Indiranagar, Marathahalli and Whitefield. Two centres in Mysore and Mangalore will be operational by the end of 2023. Tenet Diagnostics will also add 1500+ skilled jobs to its current 150+ doctors and 800+ technicians employee base. This will take its total workforce tally to 2500+ dedicated staff serving the healthcare needs of the community. 

Speaking on the occasion, D Suresh, Chairman of Tenet Diagnostics says, “we started in 2018 with a mission to transform the Indian diagnostics industry by introducing the latest technology and infrastructure in Radiology and Laboratory services. Tenet Diagnostics has registered a 100% turnover YOY and we plan to touch Rs. 150+ crore this year. Karnataka is instrumental in our growth story. We plan to invest 100 crore to start 15 centres providing advanced PET-CT, Gamma Camera, MRI, CT, Laboratory services, Ultrasound, X-ray, 2D echo, TMT, PFT, Mammography, ECG,EEG, ENMG, Audiometry, OPG, Corporate screening, Hospital lab management and preventive healthcare packages.”

“We have also collaborated with the Ohio State University and signed groundbreaking master research agreements with industry leaders such as Siemens and United Imaging. The study focused on using latest technology including AI and scan data in devising advanced Radiology and Pathology techniques for solving complex clinical challenges. One of the outcomes was reducing the scanning time for patients by 50% thus improving customer experience. We will continue to partner with various players to leverage technology, research and resources to set new benchmarks in the diagnostics and laboratory services,” he adds.

Union Bank of India Integrates “India’s Central Bank Digital Currency” (CBDC) With UPI Oo Offer Interoperability


Union Bank of India, one of India’s leading public sector banks revealed the launch of interoperability of India’s Central Bank Digital Currency with UPI under the aegis of RBI on. 

Union Bank of India has been one of the pioneer Banks in integrating Bank’s digital e-rupee with UPI Platform.  

Now the customers of the Bank would be able to scan any merchant UPI QR Code from Union Bank’s Digital e-rupee Wallet and initiate a payment to the merchant in his UPI linked account in a secured environment. It will enable merchants to collect payments through both UPI and Union Bank Digital e-rupee through single QR Code, thereby eliminating the need to have multiple QR codes for payment collections. This facility is currently enabled for undertaking P2M & P2PM transactions.  

Ms A. Manimekhalai, MD&CEO, Union Bank of India, expressed that “Interoperability of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) with UPI Platform is a significant development in India’s Payment ecosystem. This seamless integration will foster higher adoption of Digital Currency by the customers and will also give fillip to the number of transactions using CBDC wallet”. 

Under the CBDC programme, Union Bank of India has registered more than 1.30 lakh customers and 15,000 merchants in identified 26 centres.

Air India Enters Interline Partnership With Bangkok Airways


·         Seamless connections beyond Bangkok to 10 destinations in Southeast Asia

Air India, India’s leading global airline, has entered an interline partnership with Bangkok Airways. The partnership enables Air India guests to take convenient connections via Air India’s Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore gateways to and from 10 destinations in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia on Bangkok Airways’ route network.

Tata Steel Introduces First-Ever Batch Of Women Firefighter Trainees


~23 Women will start training for Fire and Rescue Services in Tata Steel~

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Tata Steel today inducted the first batch of 23 women firefighter trainees who will undergo training in Basic Fire Fighting and Rescue Operations and will be the first-ever women firefighters in Tata Steel. To mark this initiative, an event ‘Flames of Change’ was organised to introduce these future firefighters. Present during the occasion as Chief Guest was Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel along with Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, President, Tata Workers’ Union as the Guest of Honour.

The event marked the launch of a 3-month long training programme designed to train these 23 women to become competent firefighters. The training will provide theoretical understanding as well as hands-on experience to these women. After the training programme, the candidates will be evaluated, and the selected trainees will be inducted into the Fire and Rescue Services team of Tata Steel.

During the event, a training manual on Basic Firefighting was also unveiled by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel; Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, President, Tata Workers’ Union; Arvind Kumar Sinha, Chief Security and Brand Protection, Tata Steel; Deepa Verma, Chief HRBP, Corporate Functions, Tata Steel; Jaya Singh Panda, Chief Learning & Development and Chief Diversity Officer, Tata Steel among other senior officials of Tata Steel and members of the union.

SME Finance Forum Gears Up For “Global SME Finance Forum 2023”, India Between September 12 – 14, 2023

BenQ India In Collaboration With Ranjitsinh Disale Foundation installs Interactive Displays In 20 Zila Parishad Schools In Solapur District


BenQ, a leading provider of advanced display technology solutions, has announced a collaboration with Ranjitsinh Disale Foundation to strengthen its objective of “Promoting education through technology adoption and enhancing learning experiences for students” in marginalized regions. The foundation was started by Ranjitsinh Disale – a coveted Indian educator and the only Indian winner of the ‘Global Teacher’ award. Through this collaboration, BenQ has installed Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) in 20 Zila Parishad schools in the district of Solapur in Maharashtra. The IFPs will be used by students and teachers in these schools to access digital content, collaborate on projects, and learn in new and innovative ways.

The IFPs will go beyond being a mere educational tool and aim to serve the ultimate purpose of acting as a window to the world for these children. This collaboration with Ranjitsinh Disale Foundation aims to bring about a holistic change in education standards - a move that hopes to establish parity in the learning curves of the children in the aforementioned community and those in well-resourced regions. Ranjitsinh Disale’s commitment and vision of technology adoption for large-scale social impact and change, especially in the sphere of rural education, are in harmony with the goals and vision of BenQ’s India Corporate Social Responsibility program.

With this collaboration, both BenQ India and the Ranjitsinh Disale Foundation hope to provide exposure to the children on information and resources previously not accessible to them - including international educators, digital content and relevant projects.
