“We have been conducting the Guru-Namana Program as a way to thank the teachers, who are the backbone of our society. Unfortunately, teachers are kept in the low side of remuneration and most are unable to afford high-end treatments such as joint replacements. Through our initiative, we pay tribute to these unsung heroes of our lives. It is our way of celebrating Teacher’s day that is 5th of September,” commented Dr Sharan Patil, Chairman, SPARSH Hospital.

“In last 7 years, we identified over 800 deserving retired teachers in need, by conducting the screening camps in Bangalore, Raichur, Bijapur, Gulbarga and Davangere. All the surgeries were successfully conducted free of cost, ” he added further.

Intending donors can also donate liberally to SPARSH Foundation, which is also tax-free under the GoI Scheme ATG.
