Maggi Kitchen Journey - Celebrating Stories of 12 Inspiring Women


Maggi as a brand has always believed that cooking does not stop in the saucepan. The simple act of cooking does not just make us more curious, creative and empathetic, it also teaches us independence, resourcefulness and awareness. MAGGI through “Kuch Achha Pak Raha Hai” is aimed at driving advocacy on this thought, supported through multiple initiatives. Taking this concept further MAGGI KITCHEN JOURNEYS celebrates the grit and zeal of women who have used the power of their culinary skills to carve their own dreams, overcome personal tragedies and change the fortunes of their family.

Talking about the initiative, Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, NestlĂ© India said, “From our purpose to our products, we have always had culinary expertise at the heart of everything. MAGGI KITCHEN JOURNEYS is our attempt to celebrate the stories of such women who have soared to great heights by using every day culinary skills to fuel change. Indeed it is inspiring how these women have achieved extraordinary things.”

MAGGI KITCHEN JOURNEYS showcases 12 heart-warming and inspiring stories of women who have established their own unique identity, using food as a medium. These women have all used their culinary skills creatively in various ways and made a difference. The ‘KITCHEN JOURNEYS’ unveil how the women have taken challenging circumstances in their stride and overcome difficult situations to set up something they are passionate about.

Jayanthi Kathale is one of the 12 protagonists who would be featured on the show. She lives and works in Bangalore. Taking about the initiative, Jayanthi Kathale said, “I left my cushy job at Infosys as a project manager, where I worked for over 13 years to follow my passion, that was, to bring Maharashtrian cuisine to the fore in Bangalore. It took me 3 years of travel and research to come up with a business model which could serve Maharashtrian culture and not just food. Getting featured in the show has made me extremely happy and I am willing to put in more hardwork.”

Over the years, MAGGI has become a much-loved brand across the country. In-sync with the changes in society, MAGGI aspires to embody contemporary thinking by recognizing the larger impact women have on the society.
